Washington Nationals at New York Mets

  • Leg 1: Mets -1.5 (-125)
  • Leg 2: Tommy Pham 2+ Total Bases (+140)
  • Leg 3: Justin Verlander 6+ Strikeouts (-155)

Could Justin Verlander's stint in New York be over after half of a season? The Mets are waiving the white flag by trading Max Scherzer, and Verlander has that same value. After a tough start to his season, we're seeing vintage Verlander as he's 3-1 with a 1.46 ERA, and opponents have a .498 OPS in the last six starts.

It's been a tough season for Trevor Williams as he returned to a full-time starter after spending two years with the Mets in and out of the rotation. The fastball continues to be his primary pitch, but it's lost speed and movement this year, and as a result, he's seen a significant dip in production, including his worse strikeout percentage and a drop in expected batting average and slugging against.

New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles

It's been an abysmal season for Luis Severino, as it’s been filled with injuries and ineffectiveness. He faced the Orioles a couple of weeks ago and went season-low 2.2 innings, allowing a season-high ten hits and seven earned in the loss. There have been large drops in the movement of his fastball and slider, and once a swing-and-miss guy, his current 20.1 whiff is the worse of his career.

It's been an excellent month for Dean Kremer as the Orioles are the 4-0 in his starts, and he has a 2.92 ERA. One was against the Yankees and allowed just one earned run and a season-high ten strikeouts.

Detroit Tigers at Miami Marlins

Jesus Luzardo has been on a great stretch lately, going 3-0 with a 1.48 ERA, and opponents are batting .148.  One of the largest reasons for his significant improvement is that he's made the four-seamer his primary this season, the run value has surged from 2 to 11, and his chase rate has moved over 30% for the first time in his career.

It was a long journey for Tarik Skubal to return to the MLB  after being out from August last year to early July with arm fatigue. He's done well in his return, with three of four outings going scoreless. After going four innings in his first three starts, he went five innings in his last start,
