MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (9/11)

This has all the writings of being an exciting September as there are some close races for the playoffs. We’ll feature the game of the day between two division opponents who are locked into a tight battle to win said division. Then we have a team that just moved into a playoff and would to keep with a win today.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Yankees

  • Leg 1: Yankees ML (+100)
  • Leg 2: Yankees 1st five ML (-121)
  • Leg 3: Total runs 1st five over 5.5 (+145)

This will be an important rubber match in this series and the final game between these teams in the regular season, These teams desperately want to gain a game in what could be a close race to the finish line.

Domingo German gets the starts for the Yankees, and he's pitched well since his initial 2022 debut with a 2.62 ERA in his last nine outings. He was excellent in his last start against the Rays going six innings and allowing just two earned, but his offense was unable to put up any runs, and he earned the loss.

Luis Patiño has been making spot starts for the Rays throughout the season, but since Shane McClanahan went on the IL, he moved into the rotation. This will be his first time facing the Yankees this year, but he had success against them last season and comes into today with an eight-inning scoreless streak.

This should be a close game, and surprisingly the Yanks are home dogs, but I like them behind German after putting up 10 runs yesterday.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Washington Nationals

  • Leg 1: Phillies -1.5 (-146)
  • Leg 2: Kyle Schwarber to record an RBI (+120)
  • Leg 3: JT Realmuto to record 2+ total bases (-105)

Aaron Nola has had a couple of shaky starts recently, but overall has pitched well, allowing one run or less in five of the last seven starts. As the Phillies moved into that last spot in the Wild Card yesterday, they would love to come away today with a win and keep that small lead in a favorable matchup.

After an awful start to his season back in July, Anibal Sanchez has been untouchable with a 0.84 ERA in the last four starts, with the Nats winning all four. Although Sanchez hasn't seen the Phillies this season, he's seen plenty of this lineup with no success, with the roster batting .307 in 107 plate appearances.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

  • Leg 1: Cardinals -1.5 (-125)
  • Leg 2: Tommy Edman to record 2+ total bases (-105)
  • Leg 3: Kevin Newman to record 2+ total bases (+155)

There's nothing better than a revenge game, but it's even better when it's a team you played for this season. Jose Quintana began the season in Pittsburgh and was their best starter with a 3.50 ERA for the team, and he continues to be great with the Cardinals with a 3.15 ERA.

With Quintana gone, you could argue Mitch Keller has been one of the Pirates’ better pitchers. He's coming in with a 2.84 ERA in his last ten starts, but the team has not given Keller or any Pittsburgh pitchers run support as they're just 4-6 in those starts.

Quintana should get the win against his old team that struggles to put up runs.
