Texas Rangers @ Detroit Tigers
- Leg 1: Rangers Moneyline (-115)
- Leg 2: Wyatt Langford Over 0.5 Singles (-125)
- Leg 3: Wyatt Langford Over 0.5 RBIs (+180)
I'm rolling with the rookies today in this matchup. The Rangers will call up former No. 2 overall pick Jack Leiter to make his MLB debut at Detroit today in the final game of their four-game series. Kenta Maeda gets the starting nod for the Tigers. The Tigers will look to split the series with a win today. I think an away game in Detroit is a nice, low-pressure situation for Leiter to excel against a lineup that has batted .213 collectively to start the season. Maeda struggled in his first start but rebounded in his last outing, giving up only one earned run in six innings pitched against the Twins and drawing a No Decision.
On the offensive side, I expect Wyatt Langford to bounce back after going hitless yesterday. He's batting third in a loaded Rangers lineup and will have plenty of opportunities to drive in a run today, batting behind Corey Seager and Marcus Semien. He's been doing his damage against right-handed pitching this season, batting .286 versus RHP, so the matchup does not scare me here. Look for Leiter to have a good debut and Langford to deliver a single and RBI in a win today against the Tigers.

Arizona Diamondbacks @ San Francisco Giants
- Leg 1: Diamondbacks Moneyline (+170)
- Leg 2: Corbin Carroll Over 0.5 Singles (-145)
- Leg 3: Christian Walker Over 0.5 RBIs (+165)
The Diamondbacks will open a series against the Giants tonight. Ryne Nelson will start for Arizona, while Logan Webb will be on the hill for the Giants. I believe Nelson will actually have a quality start despite the away game. He's had some tough matchups early this season. He has given up seven earned runs in 7.2 innings pitched in his first two starts against strong Yankees and Braves lineups on his way to an 0-2 start. He had a strong outing in his next start versus the Cardinals, giving up only one earned run in 7.0 innings pitched. He now gets another manageable lineup in the Giants, and they're a familiar division opponent, so look for Nelson to build off of his last outing.
Corbin Carroll has had a shaky start to the season, notably against right-handed pitching (.122 batting average). He does draw another righty tonight. However, he's succeeded against Logan Webb in the past (.364 batting average, 2 RBIs). After a hitless night Wednesday, I have him bouncing back for a single with a chance for more.
I also have Christian Walker doing some damage tonight with 1+ RBIs. This is another player struggling a bit versus righties (.227 batting average this season). However, all three of his home runs have come against righties. In addition, he doesn't mind facing Webb, as he's hitting .353 versus him with a .947 OPS. He went 0-4 last night, but he will come through for the Diamondbacks in a big way tonight.
