MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Thursday (4/27)

April is almost wrapped up and that means the first month of the MLB Season is coming to a close this week. Can early season surprises like the Pirates and Orioles keep up this pace for the rest of the year? Will the Rays end the season as the league’s best team? It will be interesting to see how some of the early season storylines play out over the summer. Here are Thursday’s best MLB Same Game Parlay odds, picks, and predictions.

Seattle Mariners vs. Philadelphia Phillies

The Mariners and Phillies are wrapping up their series in Philadelphia today, with both teams vying for the series win. Right-hander George Kirby is on the mound for the Mariners, while lefty Matt Strahm is pitching for the Phillies. The Phillies won last night 6-5, while the Mariners grinned out a 5-3 win the previous night. I like betting over 8.5 total runs scored in this one, despite solid pitching by both starting pitchers this season. There hasn’t been a total under 7 for each of these teams in the past 5 games. The Phillies are also having some defensive issues to start this season. I expect Jarred Kelenic to bounce back after an 0-4 night yesterday and continue his impressive season (7 HR, 0.325 batting average in 2023) despite the lefty-on-lefty matchup. Trea Turner will also find a hole in this game, and each of these teams will put up 3+ runs. I expect a back-and-forth game that is decided by the bullpens.

Parlay Odds: +450

San Diego Padres vs. Chicago Cubs

Game 3 of this 1-1 series takes place in Chicago today. Seth Lugo looks to improve to 3-1 after a strong start to the season. His last start was his first loss, however he only gave up 2 runs and the Padres offense did not score. I like the Padres offense to get off to a hot start against the struggling righty Hayden Wesneski (1-1, 6.23 ERA). Jake Cronenworth draws a plus matchup against the righty, and I expect him to get a base knock today after a big triple opened up the scoring in yesterday’s game. Ian Happ should get several opportunities in this ballgame batting near the top of the order, and I see the switch-hitter getting on base in this one. Expect the Padres to come out and win the race to 4 runs, as well as hang on for the win in this series finale in Chicago.

Parlay Odds: +425

St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Francisco Giants

The Cardinals will be visiting the Giants this afternoon and they are looking to avoid the dreaded 4-game sweep behind their ace Miles Mikolas. The right-hander is struggling to say the least, as he is still looking for his first win after 5 starts this season. He’s given up at least 5 hits and 2 ER in every start so far. I believe he’s finally able to get it done today against an average Giants lineup that is batting a combined .243 this season. Lars Nootbar is also struggling in this series, combining for a 1-11 line over the first 3 games. He went 0-4 yesterday despite some hard hit balls, and I expect him to get a hit or two in this one with a plus match against righty Logan Webb. Mike Yastrzemski draws a plus matchup as well, and I like him to get a hit today after a needed rest day yesterday. I like Mikolas to have a strong outing and I believe he gets it done for the Cards today on the road on the way to cashing this parlay.

Parlay Odds: +475
