MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Thursday (9/21)

Let’s look at a few same game parlay bets on tap for another Thursday slate.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. St. Louis Cardinals

The Brewers will finish up in St. Louis as the Cardinals look to split the four-game series between divisional foes. The pitching matchup features right-hander Miles Mikolas for the Cards and Wade Miley throwing for the Brewers. Both Pitchers are solid but have been prone to giving up runs this season. In particular, Mikolas has given up 3+ ER in his past seven starts, with 5+ ER in four of those outings. His command has not been there this year like in past years. Miley is not a big strikeout guy, so he’ll rely on a lot of batted ball outs to get the job done.

With that being said, I’m going to play the over here, as we saw the last two games between these teams go over 8.5 runs. A guy I’m looking at to do some damage on the offensive side is Paul Goldschmidt. Despite being 1-for-11 so far in this series, I think he puts together a good day at the plate. He gets a good plus matchup with Miley, as he’s 8-for-

17 against him in his career with an OPS of 1.432. He’s also batting .294 against lefties this season with an OPS of .826. I like Goldschmidt to start back up a hitting streak today with the potential for more, including an RBI.

Give me the over tonight, as I think the Cardinals bats come alive again on Thursday afternoon.

Parlay Odds: +475

San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

The Giants will visit the Dodgers to begin a four-game series in Los Angeles. The pitching matchup features two young pitchers in Kyle Harrison for the Giants and Emmet Sheehan for the Dodgers. I’m expecting both of these rookie pitchers to struggle some today as they each face good batting lineups. These pitchers have combined to start 14 games in their careers. Rather than picking a side or total, we are going to attack this SGP with all Singles props.

A few batters have great matchups today, with some solid prices on the Single Props. First, I like Freddie Freeman to hit the ball hard today against the lefty Harrison. Freeman is in the thick of the NL MVP race and will look to bounce back from his 0-for-4 performance yesterday. He’s been ripping lefties, with a .344 batting average and 1.042 OPS against them in 2023. Mookie Betts is another Dodger I like to have a single today, as he comes in at +120 odds that are too good to pass up. He has a plus matchup against the young lefty, as he’s batting .310 with an OPS of 1.132 against lefties in 2023. On the other side, I love Thairo Estrada to have a base hit as well. He prefers righties in 2023 and is batting .281 against righties this season. Despite being on the backend of the batting lineup, Estrada should still get five plate appearances today in what should be a high-scoring game.

I think this can be a shootout in LA today, with these teams’ big hitters hitting the overs on our Singles props.

Parlay Odds: +600
