Los Angeles Angels vs. Texas Rangers
- Leg 1: Julio Rodriguez 2+ Total Bases (-130)
- Leg 2: Ty France 2+ Total Bases (-110)
- Leg 3: Carlos Santana 1+ Hit (-175)
The Mariners will take on Adrian Martinez and the Oakland Athletics this afternoon. Martinez is currently holding a 4.79 xFIP in the last 30 days. Heâs also allowed 25.4% of line drive contact in that same time frame when balls are put into play.
The righty is not a high strikeout threat and has allowed a wOBA of .379 to lefties and a .367 wOBA to righties over the last month.
Meanwhile, the Mariners are hitting an ISO of .210 and wOBA of .301 against righties over the last 30 days using their projected lineup. Those numbers look good because Julio Rodriguez and Ty France are at the top of the order.
Rodriguez has a .353 ISO and wOBA of .413 against his last 76 righties. On the other hand, France has a .284 ISO with just 13% of strikeouts over his previous 69 plate appearances against righties.
Lastly, Carlos Santana is hitting a .339 ISO with a wOBA of .338. Heâs hit nearly 24% of line drives against righties over the last 30 days and continues to limit walks.
Letâs back Seattleâs big bats in todayâs game.

Minnesota Twins vs. Kansas City Royals
- Leg 1: Luis Arraez 2+ Total Bases (+100)
- Leg 2: Nick Gordon 2+ Total Bases (-105)
- Leg 3: Jake Cave 1+ Hit (-140)
Jon Heasley will take the ball against the Minnesota Twins. Heasley has a 6.50 xFIP over the last 30 days with low strikeouts and high walks. Heâs also not getting a high rate of ground balls in that time frame. Lefties are hitting a .338 wOBA and ISO of .172 against Heasley, which is a bit higher than the average pitcher.
Heâll only take on three lefties in the Minnesota lineup. But those lefties have a ton of potential. Heâll go up against Luis Arraez, who has hit 26.3% of line drives in the last 30 days against righties. Heâll also take on Nick Gordon, who has a .230 ISO and wOBA of .387 over his previous 81 plate appearances against righties. Gordon has also hit 27.8% of line drives against righties in that time frame when balls are batted into play.
Finally, Jake Cave, who will be hitting towards the bottom of the lineup, has a .221 ISO. Heâs also hit 25% of line drives against righties when he puts the ball in play.
If Heasleyâs not going to earn strikeouts, look for these lefties to hit solid line drive contact.

Houston Astros vs. Baltimore Orioles
- Leg 1: Yordan Alvarez To Hit Home Run (+340)
- Leg 2: Kyle Tucker 1+Hit (-230)
- Leg 3: Alex Bregman 1+ Hit (-220)
Yordan Alvarez is heating up against righties. In the last 30 days, Alvarez has a .422 ISO and wOBA of .440 against righties. Heâs hit over 47% of fly balls and has struck out under 10% of the time.
The Astros will take on Kyle Bradish, who has a 5.08 xFIP with low strikeouts and high walks. Bradish has only struck out lefties 12.1% of the time.
Therefore, Alvarez should be able to fly one out tonight. Kyle Tucker is hitting a .208 ISO and wOBA of .345 against his last 59 righties. Like Alvarez, Tucker has been able to limit strikeouts and has hit over 45% of fly balls.
Meanwhile, Alex Bregman, a righty, also has plenty of potential to get a base hit. Bregman has a .245 ISO and wOBA of .396 against righties in his last 66 plate appearances. Heâs stuck out just over 15% of the time but has hit 21.4% of grounders and 21.4% of line drives when the ball is in play.
Back the middle of the order for the Astros. Alvarez has a great matchup to earn a home run tonight.
