MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (10/10)

The Baltimore Orioles could be sent home tonight.

They’re down 2-0 in the ALDS, with a road game against the Texas Rangers.

Meanwhile, the Astros and Twins are tied up at one in the ALDS best-of-five series. The winner of today’s game will need just one more win to get into the ALCS.

I’ve got a couple of same-game parlays for these ALDS matchups.

Houston Astros vs. Minnesota Twins

The Astros will pitch Christian Javier on the road in today’s Game 3 of the ALDS. Javier has struggled a lot recently. Righties have hit a .219 ISO in the last month. Meanwhile, his previous 83 batters have hit 39.6% of fly balls, 29.2% of line drives, and only 22.9% of ground balls.

Javier has a high strikeout rate. But when batters put the ball in play, things unravel for Javier.

Throughout the season, Javier has been worse against lefties. He’s allowed 372 lefties to hit a .197 ISO and wOBA of .354. He’s also allowed righties to hit an ISO of .181.

Therefore, we’ll back a couple of the hottest hitters in the Minnesota lineup.

Royce Lewis is a righty, hitting a .477 ISO and wOBA of .478 against his last 53 righties. There’s also Edouard Julien, who should lead things off for Minnesota. He’s hit a .265 ISO and wOBA of .407 against his last 87 righties.

On the other hand, Sonny Gray will get the start for the Twins. While he’s earned 27.4% of strikeouts over the last month, he’s only struck out 24.4% of batters this season. Gray has struck out just 20% of righties in the last 30 days.

He’ll likely face a Houston lineup with six righties in the lineup. That projected lineup has limited strikeouts to 19.8% over the last month against righties. Gray won’t earn a high rate of strikeouts in this game.

Parlay Odds: +809

Baltimore Orioles vs. Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers are one win away from an ALCS berth.

If the Rangers get into the ALCS, we might even see Max Scherzer on the mound for Texas.

For now, it’ll be Nathan Eovaldi. He’s struck out just 18.4% of lefties in the last 30 days and hasn’t struck out 20% of lefties this season. Tonight, he’ll face a Baltimore lineup that should have seven lefties in the lineup. While Baltimore has a .131 ISO and wOBA of .293 against righties, they’ll likely put the ball in play more frequently against Eovaldi.

On the other hand, Dean Kremer will get the start for the Orioles. Kremer has struggled against lefties as a right-handed pitcher. He’s allowed a .179 ISO and wOBA of .343 to his last 46 lefties.

Corey Seager has smacked a .250 ISO and wOBA of .381 as a lefty against righties. Evan Carter, another lefty, has hit a .473 ISO and woBA of .554 against his last 71 righties. Those two lefties are in a great position to succeed against Kremer.

Parlay Odds: +676
