MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (4/9)

We fell short with our MLB same-game parlays yesterday. If only walks counted as total bases!

That said, I’ve added a couple more same-game parlays for tonight’s MLB slate. I’m feeling good about these! Let us know if you’re tailing either one of these parlays!

Chicago White Sox @ Cleveland Guardians

The White Sox will send Michael Soroka to the mound for tonight’s matchup against the Guardians. Soroka has thrown 11 innings through two starts and earned just two strikeouts. He’s also given up a 4.91 ERA and a WHIP of 1.45.

The 46 batters he’s faced have hit a .256 ISO and wOBA of .390 against him. Between the two teams, he’s also walked more than he’s struck out.

Against 79 lefties last season, Soroka allowed a .278 ISO and wOBA of .365. So far this year, Soroka has earned no strikeouts against 21 lefties and has allowed a .222 ISO and wOBA of .381. He’s also allowed 38.9% of fly balls.

So we’ll attack Soroka with a few lefties. Jose Ramirez has hit a .179 ISO and wOBA of .360 with just 10.6% of strikeouts against righties dating back to last season. Meanwhile, Josh Naylor has hit a .182 ISO and woBA of .360 with just 15.2% of strikeouts against his last 361 righties.

Finally, Bo Naylor, despite hitting lower in the order, has smacked a .247 ISO and wOBA of .360 against his last 200 righties faced. Let’s take our chances with this little Guardians stack.

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Minnesota Twins

The Dodgers have Tyler Glasnow penciled in to start tonight’s game against the Twins. Glasnow added 33.1% of strikeouts last year but has only added 15 strikeouts in 17 innings this season.

His strikeout rate hasn’t been great to begin the year, but that should change tonight. Glasnow is facing a Twins lineup that has struck out against righties 26% of the time since last season.

Six targets in the Minnesota lineup have struck out at least 22.7% of the time since last year.

Meanwhile, the Twins will counter with Louie Varland. Varland was awful against righties last season, giving up a .247 ISO and wOBA of .360 to 187 righties. However, he was also horrible against lefties in his first start of the season this year, allowing a .364 ISO and wOBA of .487 to 12 lefties.

Therefore, we’ll roll with Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani to do some damage. Betts has slugged a .247 ISO and wOBA of .413 with just 16.8% of strikeouts against his last 546 righties. On the other hand, Ohtani has hit a .370 ISO and wOBA of .465 against his last 434 righties.

Let’s count on the big stars in Los Angeles to cash in this same-game parlay ticket.
