MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (5/2)

It’s another Tuesday in the MLB, with all 30 teams taking the field tonight.

Baseball is the most unpredictable sport when it comes to the regular season. However, once the stats start rolling in, the profit does too.

Nobody expected the Pittsburgh Pirates to earn 20 wins before the Braves, Mets, Dodgers, Yankees, and Astros. But here we are!

Even the Orioles might get to 20 before those teams too!

Here are a couple of same-game parlays for tonight’s MLB slate of games.

Minnesota Twins vs. Chicago White Sox

The Chicago White Sox are just 8-21 on the season. It’s been a miserable start for this team, especially on the offensive side.

They’ll face Joe Ryan, who has a 5-0 record with a 2.81 ERA. Ryan also holds an xFIP of 3.65 with 28.7% of strikeouts in the last 30 days. The right-hander has walked just 3.3% of opposing batters and has rarely allowed extra-base hits.

Ryan figures to go deep in this game. He’s facing a White Sox projected lineup with a .133 ISO and wOBA of .285 over the last 30 days. Chicago has seven hitters striking out at a high rate against righties over the last 30 days.

Meanwhile, Michael Kopech will take the hill. He’s been up-and-down this year but has a 5.59 xFIP. Kopech will earn some strikeouts, but he’s allowed a .327 ISO to lefties in his last 63 plate appearances against them.

He’ll have to face premier lefties like Max Kepler and Byron Buxton, who have hit righties at a high rate to begin the year. Over the last 30 days, Max Kepler has a .260 ISO and wOBA of .381 in his last 59 plate appearances, while Buxton has a .315 ISO and wOBA of .389 against his last 83 righties.

Parlay Odds: +877

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

The Phillies are getting Bryce Harper back in the lineup tonight. I’m not going to bet on Harper to make an immediate impact, but his presence should help the lineup.

The Phillies will face Julio Urias, who is 3-3 with a 4.41 ERA. Urias isn’t earning a high rate of grounders and is allowing lefties to hit a .514 wOBA and ISO of .438 over his last 18 plate appearances against them. Righties have smacked a wOBA of .335 with an ISO of .222.

I’m confident in this Philadelphia lineup. Nick Castellanos has hit a .240 ISO and wOBA of .408 against lefties over his 29 plate appearances. Meanwhile, Brandon Marsh has slugged a .429 wOBA and ISO of .462 against his last 23 lefties.

The Phillies will also start Matt Strahm, who carries a 2.31 ERA this year. Strahm is also a lefty going up against a Dodgers lineup that has struck out 25% of the time against lefties. The 31-year-old has struck out 36% of batters this season.

Parlay Odds: +727
