Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Milwaukee Brewers

We’ve got a weak pitching matchup in Milwaukee tonight.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will start Ryne Nelson tonight. Nelson has been fine against righties. However, he’s struggled badly against lefties, allowing lefties to hit a .381 ISO and wOBA of .466 over his last 50 lefties faced. Nelson has only earned 10% of strikeouts against lefties and has walked them 16% of the time.

Christian Yelich has hit a .197 ISO and wOBA of .417 against his last 80 right-handed pitchers. Yelich has also limited strikeouts and will bat leadoff for the Brewers.

On the other hand, Colin Rea will start for the Brewers. He’s another righty struggling against lefties. In the last month, lefties have hit a .290 ISO and wOBA of .506 against Rea. Ketel Marte is a switch-hitter but will bat from the left side against Rea. Marte has a .206 ISO and wOBA of .372 in his last 73 plate appearances against righties. Meanwhile, Corbin Carroll, another lefty, is slugging a .480 ISO and wOBA of .538 against his last 83 righties.

Texas Rangers vs. Chicago White Sox

  • Leg 1: Dylan Cease Under 6.5 Ks (-118)
  • Leg 2: Corey Seager Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)
  • Leg 3: Nathaniel Lowe Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130)

It’ll be Dylan Cease on the mound for the White Sox tonight. Cease has only earned 22.1% of strikeouts over the last month. He’s also walked over 10% of batters and has watched lefties hit a .189 ISO and wOBA of .329 in their last 56 plate appearances.

Cease will have to face at least five lefties in the lineup tonight. Those lefties have limited strikeouts to 20.5%. The other four righties in the projected lineup have only struck out at a combined 18.8%.

Only three batters in the Texas lineup have struck out more than 20.5% of the time.

Meanwhile, Corey Seager is one of the five lefties. He’s hit a .403 ISO and wOBA of .510 against his last 78 righties faced. Nathaniel Lowe will bat right behind him. He’s another lefty with a .159 ISO and a wOBA of .363. Those two lefties should be the center of things for the Rangers in tonight’s game against Cease.

Cease has allowed 27.3% of line drives to his last 56 lefties and isn’t getting as many whiffs against lefties as he does against righties.

Parlay Odds: +628
