MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (8/8)

There are 16 games on the MLB slate today, thanks to a doubleheader between the Nationals and Phillies.

I usually stay away from doubleheader matchups, but I’ve still got a couple of same-game parlays in other games that you should consider!

Tuesday’s Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Miami Marlins vs. Cincinnati Reds

The Cincinnati Reds are desperate for pitching. Nick Lodolo and Hunter Greene can’t come soon enough.

Luke Weaver will take the hill for the Reds tonight. He’s allowed a .273 ISO and wOBA of .397 to his last 76 batters. Throughout the season, Weaver has allowed a .265 ISO and wOBA of .401.

He’s getting low strikeouts and allowing plenty of fly balls and line drives while inducing just 30.8% of grounders.

Jazz Chisholm has hit a .417 ISO and wOBA of .557 against his last 14 righties. Chisholm has only struck out 7.1% of the time in the previous month against righties.

Meanwhile, Jake Burger has slugged a .259 ISO and wOBA of .323 against his last 66 righties. Lastly, Bryan De La Cruz has knocked a .377 ISO and wOBA of .387 against his last 64 righties.

Let’s stack the Marlins against one of the worst pitchers in baseball.

Parlay Odds: +657

Chicago Cubs vs. New York Mets

The New York Mets will pitch Carlos Carrasco for tonight’s matchup against the Cubs. Carrasco has been absolutely terrible over the last month and throughout most of the season. He’s allowed a .219 ISO and wOBA of .486 to his previous 83 batters. He’s also thrown just 69.25 pitches per start in the last 30 days.

Meanwhile, Dansby Swanson has hit a .500 ISO and wOBA of .521 against his last 41 righties. Cody Bellinger has also slugged a .333 ISO and wOBA of .492 with only 6.6% of strikeouts against righties in the previous month.

Batting 6th, newest Cub Jeimer Candelario has hit a .278 ISO and wOBA of .465 against his last 65 righties.

Carrasco has earned just 10.8% of strikeouts over the last month and has no answers about why he’s struggled recently. Lefties have hit a .233 ISO and wOBA of .485 in the previous 30 days, while righties have hit a .209 ISO and wOBA of .487. Although Carrasco is getting ground balls and limiting fly balls, he’s allowed over 30% of line drives and over 62% of hard contact.

He might not give up four home runs, but the line drives into the gaps should be a specialty for the Cubs tonight.

Chicago will get back on track offensively, led by those three bats.

Parlay Odds: +773
