MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (10/11)

After the Rangers dismantled the Orioles in their three-game sweep it has left us with only three Division Series remaining. The Astros look to close out the Twins, the Dodgers try to avoid a sweep of their own, and the Braves and Phillies try to take a 2-1 series lead. Should be a super fun day of baseball and let’s find an SGP for each game.

MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions

Atlanta Braves at Philadelphia Phillies

Braves o5.5 Runs (+170) and Game o9.5 Runs (+115)

The Braves’ currently do not have a starter listed opposite Aaron Nola but chances are high that they throw Bryce Elder although there has been some suggestion that AJ Smith-Shawver could throw as well. If either of those guys starts, this should put the Phillies in a good position to score a decent chunk of runs as their offense should be able to do some damage against those arms. However, the Braves should also be able to do damage against Aaron Nola, even though Nola is decidedly the better pitcher in this matchup. The Braves hit the most home runs in the league in the regular season and home runs have been the plague on Nola’s season. The Braves should have no issues out slugging the Phillies in this one and helping not only their own team total but the game total go over.

Matt Olson 2+ TBs (+150)

While it is the playoffs, this number just feels so off. Olson has not had a great series this far but he has the most pure power of anyone in this game and all it takes is one ball for him to easily hit this over. He gets back on track in this one.

Combined Odds: +425

Houston Astros at Minnesota Twins

Astros ML (+105) and o5.5 Runs (+215)

Instead of bringing back Verlander to close the series out the Astros are sending veteran Jose Urquidy to the mound. Urquidy has decent numbers in his career in the postseason while he does allow too many homers. However, we like this matchup for the Astros’ offense more which is why we are picking this game this way. Joe Ryan got off to a great start and cooled off a ton in the second half allowing sixteen homers in 54 innings. He needs to be able to keep the ball in the yard in this one in order to succeed and with the Astros’ offense coming off an explosive power game, I am not sure that he can conceivably do that. The big Astros’ power bats should be able to do real damage against the young Twins right-hander.

Kyle Tucker 2+ TBs (+130)

Speaking of big bats, let’s add Kyle Tucker to this SGP. He is still one of the best hitters in baseball even if he sometimes gets overshadowed by his own teammates and the beauty of his is that he does not need to hit a HR to get this. He is talented enough to notch two base hits as well as having the power to get there with just one swing.

Combined Odds: +450

Los Angeles Dodgers at Arizona Diamondbacks

Dodgers -1.5 (+110) and o6.5 Runs (+150)

For this one, we are reaching a bit higher in the runs than we usually do. However, this Dodgers’ offense is far too talented to struggle this much. The Diamondbacks have jumped them in the first inning in both games so far and I anticipate they do the same to Pfaadt. While I like Pfaadt’s career potential, opening the game with Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman is tough for a rookie facing a team with their backs against the wall. The Dodgers’ offense is going to explode in this one and they will finally get a good pitching performance from a starter in Lance Lynn. Lynn wasn’t exactly great after the trade to the Dodgers but he is a veteran arm who has plenty of talent and can silence an offense when needed. With the bets set up like they are the Dodgers can win a shootout and this can still hit with ease.

Max Muncy 2+ TBs (+125)

The issue when we take Muncy in these bets is that he is so patient at the plate that he often does not get enough balls in play for us. However, he does still have excellent power and extra-base hit ability and if the Dodgers are going to smash in this game it won’t entirely be due to the two MVP candidates at the top of their order.

Combined Odds: +400
