Philadelphia Phillies at Arizona Diamondbacks
- Leg 1: Phillies ML (+115)
- Leg 2: Over 4.5 Runs (+125)
- Leg 3: Kyle Schwarber 2+ TBs (+130)
Arizona has been one of the seasonâs biggest surprises, but their offense has been slightly worse when facing left-handers like Ranger Suarez. After a rough start to his season, Suarez has been outstanding in his last three appearances. He should be able to keep those good times rolling in helping the Phillies win this game. On the offensive side, the Phillies are finally turning it around with the fourth-best wRC+ in the last fourteen days. While Merril Kelly has been excellent in 2023, the Philliesâ offense is hot and he should have a hard time keeping the Phillies off the board.
Schwarber had a miserable May but has been on fire in June with a 156 wRC+. He has regained his power form and is a huge part of why the Philliesâ offense has turned it around. He should be able to keep this rolling today.
Combined Odds: +400
Cleveland Guardians at San Diego Padres
- Leg 1: Guardians ML (+120)
- Leg 2: Over 4.5 Runs (+165)
- Leg 3: Jose Ramirez 2+ TBs (+125)
Much like the Phillies, the Guardians have been one of the best offenses in the game across the last two weeks. Their 125 wRC+ is tied for second in this span. Their power is not their calling card but their ability to make a ton of contact can lead to elite stretches like this. Michael Wacha has been one of the best pitchers in baseball the last few weeks but nothing in his skills screams elite performance. Aaron Civale has only made four starts this year due to injuries, and while the K numbers have been off from his career norms, he has still posted solid results. He should be able to keep this Padresâ offense off the board in order to lead them to victory.
J-Ram has been a huge reason for the Guardiansâ offensive turnaround with a 162 wRC+ in the month of June. He has found his power stroke and he tends to have streaks like this where he is unstoppable offensively.
Combined Odds: +425
Toronto Blue Jays at Baltimore Orioles
- Leg 1: Blue Jays ML (-110)
- Leg 2: Over 5.5 Runs (+160)
- Leg 3: Daulton Varsho 2+ TBs (+150)
The Blue Jays have had an up-and-down season offensively, but they still have one of the most dangerous offenses on paper. Overall, their wRC+ is 111 good for fifth in the league. Kyle Bradish has been solid overall in 2023, but his last two outings have been a bit below average. He has managed to limit the long ball which goes a long way for him to keep up the success but this Blue Jays offense has enough talent to get to any pitcher. Jose Berrios has bounced back well off his terrible 2022 thus far, and while this Oriolesâ offense has enough talent to do damage, the Jaysâ offense should be able to outscore them in this one.
Varsho hasnât been as elite as many Blue Jaysâ fans had hoped after the trade but heâs still right around league average. One thing he has done well in his career is do damage when he does get a hit and just under half of his hits in 2023 have gone for extra bases.
Combined Odds: +425
