MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (10/5)

The playoff picture is set in the MLB. Today, every game will be played at 4:00 pm ET except for the Orioles and Blue Jays, who will start a doubleheader at 12:35 pm ET.

It’s been an incredible season of profit.

But don’t worry, I’ll be back for the playoffs with the same scheduled content.

Before you construct your parlays for today, remember that many players could end up on the bench after a couple of at-bats. Pitchers could be taken out after three innings. Anything can happen, so be a bit more careful today.

Minnesota Twins vs. Chicago White Sox

• Leg 1: Josh Harrison 2+ Total Bases (+155)
• Leg 2: Yoan Moncada 2+ Total Bases (+110)
• Leg 3: Elvis Andrus 1+ Hit (-220)

Louie Varland will get the call for the season’s final game with the Twins. Varland has had a 5.46 xFIP over the last 30 days. He’s also struck out just 18.4% of batter in that time frame. Beyond that, he’s allowing nearly 25% of line drive and has induced just 32.3% of ground balls when balls are batted into play over the last month.

Lefties have a .167 ISO through their last 38 plate appearances against Varland. Righties have a .379 wOBA and ISO of .267. He’s allowing extra-base hits to both sides of the plate.

Josh Harrison has a BABIP of .367 against righties over the last 30 days, with 26.7% of line drives hit. Meanwhile, Yoan Moncada has hit 27.7% of line drive against righties over the previous 30 days.

The White Sox have a lot of players who strike out a ton, including Harison and Moncada. But with Varland on the mound, those strikeouts will be a bit more limited, allowing for more line drive hits.

Finally, Elvis Andrus has limited his strikeouts to 17.6% and will be able to put the ball in play against Varland. We need just one hit from the leadoff man. Back the White Sox in today’s parlay.

Chicago Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds

• Leg 2: Nico Hoerner 2+ Total Bases (+115)
• Leg 3: Christopher Morel 1+ Hit (-170)

The Cubs and Reds will miss the playoffs and head home after today’s game. However, the Cubs have a much better roster heading into the off-season.

Chicago has hit 24.9% of line drive against righties over the last 30 days. Today, they’ll face Graham Ashcraft, who has allowed a wOBA of .387 to lefties and a .553 wOBA to righties over the previous month. Righties even have a .400 ISO through Ashcraft’s last 22 plate appearances.

I’ll ride with this Cubs team one final time. Seiya Suzuki has hit a .227 ISO and wOBA of .352 against righties over the last 30 days. Nico Hoerner is right behind him with a .238 ISO and wOBA of .339 over his most recent 45 plate appearances against righties. And finally, Christopher Morel has a .283 ISO with 25% of line drives hit during the last 52 plate appearances against righties.

Detroit Tigers vs. Seattle Mariners

• Leg 2: Eugenio Suarez 1+ Hit (-165)
• Leg 3: Carlos Santana 1+ Hit  (-165)

We’ll be fine here as long as the Mariners play their regulars and starters.

Tyler Alexander will take the mound for the Tigers. He’s a lefty with a 5.62 xFIP over the last 30 days. The lefty has allowed 24.4% of line drives when balls are put into play. He’s also induced just 30.2% of ground balls in that same 30-day time frame.

In the last month against lefties, Ty France has hit 42.1% of line drives and has a BABIP of .368. Meanwhile, Eugenio Suarez is hitting a .636 ISO with a wOBA of .699 against lefties in his last 11 plate appearances against them.

To close out the parlay, Carlos Santana would need a hit. He’s hitting a .185 ISO with a wOBA of .330 over the last 30 days. Through 30 plate appearances against lefties, Santana has struck out just 10%^ of the time and is hitting 37.5% of grounders while also knocking nearly 21% of line drives against lefties.
