Milwaukee Brewers at New York Yankees

  • Leg 1: Yankees Moneyline (-142)
  • Leg 2: Yankees Team Total Over 4.5 Runs (+100)
  • Leg 3: Paul Goldschmidt 2+ Total Bases (+145)

The oddly shaped bats were out in force for the Yankees on Saturday as they had a historic day. They hit a franchise-high nine home runs, with Aaron Judge ripping three of them, including a grand slam and a career-high eight RBI. All the internet could talk about was their newly shaped bats, which were designed by an MIT engineer and put a thick part of the back at the label for a better chance at hitting the sweet spot.

Marcus Stroman was almost traded in the offseason because he refused to go to the bullpen, but with Gerrit Cole done for the year, he should be in the rotation for the whole season.

The Brewers would have never been able to keep up with the Yankees, but they still managed nine runs and got to Max Fried early. The good news is that eight of the nine in the lineup made it to the party with a hit.

Aaron Civale is playing for his third team in three years after he was traded at the deadline in back-to-back years and remained with that team. Coming to Milwaukee was what he needed because last season, with the Rays, he had a 5.07 ERA, then 3.53 with the Brewers.

Both pitchers have played in their opponent's division, so there is familiarity. Stroman has the better track record with this lineup, hitting .155, and with the Yankees bats clicking, they could get the brooms out.

Parlay Odds: +667

Atlanta Braves at San Diego Padres

  • Leg 1: Braves Moneyline (+105
  • Leg 2: Nick Pivetta Over 2.5 Runs Allowed (+125)
  • Leg 3: Both Teams To Score 3+ Runs (+100)

The Padres are looking to complete the four-game sweep of the Braves. It was the offense that provided all of the punch in the first two games by scoring 11 runs. Jackson Merrill didn't get the National League Rookie of the Year last season, but he's a rising star and already has five hits and four RBI this season. In the previous game, the pitching completed the 1-0 win.

Nick Pivetta will make his Padres debut after spending the last five seasons with Boston. He's a decent strikeout pitcher but tends to live in the middle of the plate, and that's why he's allowed 20+ home runs in all six seasons where he's made at least 16 starts.

The Atlanta bats have been relatively cold in this series. Only one player in the starting lineup in all three games is hitting above .250, and eight players have multiple strikeouts. They will hopefully get two of their best players back soon: Spencer Strider will begin making rehab assignments, and Ronald Acuna will hopefully be back soon.

The one thing the Braves do very well is developing pitchers, and they might have another special arm with AJ Smith-Shawver. He has a ton of velocity on his fastball that hits close to triple digits, keeps batters off balance changes, and has a curve that gets hitters chasing.

This could be the game where the bats come alive for Atlanta against an underperforming pitcher.

Parlay Odds: +825
