MLB Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Wednesday (9/4)

When it comes to betting on baseball, same-game parlays (SGPs) offer an extra sizzle and spice. These SGPs allow you the opportunity to combine multiple different legs into a single, customizable wager with potentially massive payouts. Whether you're a seasoned bettor or a curious newcomer, same-game parlays provide an enticing way to engage with America's favorite pastime.

I missed both parlays last week by a single leg, which is tough, but we're still up on the season. Remember, these are high-risk, high-reward bets so you won't be hitting winners every day but when you do, it'll be well worth it. Remember to shop around for the best odds. It's been a bit of a tough couple of weeks, missing a lot of parlays by one leg. But hey, we bounce back. Let's get to it.

Wednesday's MLB Best Same Game Parlay Bets

Last Time: 0-3 | Season: 6-30 (+5.7 Units) | Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook

Chicago White Sox at Baltimore Orioles

  • Leg 1: White Sox Under 2.5 Runs (+106)
  • Leg 2: Baltimore Orioles Over 4.5 Runs (-158)
  • Leg 3: Orioles 5th Inning Moneyline (-275)

It's a specific bet but based on how these two teams play, it's ideal. Jonathan Cannon takes the bump for Chicago. As he continues through games, he continues to struggle. In the fifth inning this year, Cannon has an 8.56 ERA across 13.2 innings. Opponents hit .321 in the fifth and have a solid OPS. If Cannon doesn't make it that long in the game, Chicago has the second-worst bullpen in the league and it has only been worse in the last month.

Looking at runs scored, the White Sox have only tallied 82 over their last 29 games. That's fewer than three runs a game. Albert Suarez has been electric recently, with a 1.19 ERA in his last five starts across 30.1 innings. He's not exactly a strikeout pitcher but he limits hard contact and excels against struggling teams. He threw four scoreless innings when he faced Chicago back in May. I expect that to be a similar result today. The Orioles should go off offensively and cruise here.

Parlay Odds: +713

Colorado Rockies at Atlanta Braves

  • Leg 1: Braves -1.5 (-132)
  • Leg 2: No Runs First Inning (-104)
  • Leg 3: Braves Over 5.5 Runs (+124)

The Braves are in the midst of a playoff run for their lives and Bradley Blalock owns the keys to the Braves’ offense. He owns a 5.23 ERA in his four starts with Colorado but he hasn't allowed a first-inning run yet this year. I mentioned the White Sox’s struggling bullpen but the only team worse is Colorado. The Rockies’ bullpen ERA is over 5.00 and their offense has been average but Charlie Morton's splits are favorable in this situation as he performs better at home and throughout the last month.

The Braves simply have a lot more to play for here and I'm going to bet on the teams with more to play for. This is a less risky option as SGPs go but it still feels good. If the Braves aren't scoring in the first inning then I don't expect either team to score. The second time around the order is when I imagine Atlanta will shine. It may even take deeper into the game but the Rockies’ bullpen is like Swiss cheese, so it should allow the Braves ample scoring opportunities and a cover.

Parlay Odds: +452
