Minnesota Twins vs. Kansas City Royals

The Minnesota Twins will pitch Simeon Woods Richardson tonight. He’s a right-hander who struck out 29.4% of his first 17 batters this season. However, he only added 20.6% of strikeouts last year and has zero strikeouts against left-handed batters so far this season.

The Royals should have at least four lefties in the lineup. Those four lefties have struck out only 17.5% of the time. Meanwhile, the five righties in the projected lineup have struck out 18.8% of the time. Collectively, the Royals’ lineup has struck out only 18.2% of the time since last season against righties.

Vinnie Pasquantino has delivered a .192 ISO and wOBA of .334 against right-handed pitchers since last season. Woods Richardson allowed a .560 wOBA to his first six lefties and gave up 40% of line drives. Look for Pasquantino to take advantage.

Michael Lorenzen will take the hill for the Royals. He has faced 13 righties this season and allowed a .273 ISO and wOBA of .405 with 37.5% of fly balls and 75% of hard contact. He also gave up a .189 ISO and wOBA of .350 to 291 righties last season. Byron Buxton is the one who can take advantage for the Twins. The righty has socked a .253 ISO and wOBA of .365 against his last 310 righties dating back to last season.

    Parlay Odds: +656

    Baltimore Orioles vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

The Orioles will turn to Zach Eflin tonight. He is a right-handed pitcher who has struck out just 15.6% of the first 45 batters he has faced this season. He struck out 19.5% of batters last season but is on an even worse trajectory this season. Eflin will take on a Diamondbacks lineup that has struck out just 19.1% of the time against righties since last year. There are only three real targets in Arizona’s lineup.

Meanwhile, Eflin has allowed a .217 ISO and wOBA of .370 to his first 24 righties. Eugenio Suarez has already started the year off strong. He has a .238 ISO and wOBA of .344 against righties as a right-handed hitter since last season. He’s got plenty of potential against Eflin tonight.

Zac Gallen will take the hill for the Diamondbacks. He’s also faced 45 batters this season, including 25 lefties. Those 25 lefties have socked a .227 ISO and wOBA of .375 with nearly 42% of line drives. Gunnar Henderson is back in the lineup for the Orioles. The lefty leadoff hitter has added a .257 ISO and wOBA of .392. He has plenty of potential against Gallen, who has simply struggled against lefties to begin the year.

    Parlay Odds: +671
