The Dodgers will need Freddie in a big way for the rest of the series if they want to extend their season.
The Dodgers have been outscored 15-4 through the first two games. Much of that has to do with the top of their lineup not producing. Betts and Freeman are a combined 1 for 13 with zero HRs and RBI.
Luckily for Freeman, he has done well against Brandon Pfaadt. Freeman is 4 for 6 with two doubles and HR against the Rookie this season.
Let’s see if Freeman can jump-start this offense in a do-or-die game 3.
Corbin Carroll +500 / Lourdes Gurriel Jr. +475
If the Diamondbacks want to finish this series with the Dodgers, their lineup must stay hot, especially against Lance Lynn, who has been struggling at this point in his career.
Lynn has allowed an HR in seven straight starts and 16 HRs since being acquired by the Dodgers (11 starts). The veteran is 5-5 with a 6.51 ERA over 24 postseason appearances.

Joe Ryan has not been the same pitcher in years past. In his last start of the regular season, he allowed three home runs to the Colorado Rockies and has allowed 11 home runs over his previous eight starts.
Alvarez is batting .286 against Ryan, including one HR.
