MLB To Hit A Home Run Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (9/27)

Who has a chance to go yard tonight in MLB, and what values are the books hanging out there for baseball bettors to take advantage of?

Here are my best bets to hit a home run today, Wednesday, Sept. 27.

Wednesday’s Best Player to Hit a Home Run Bets

Mookie Betts (+320) / Max Muncy (+210) / James Outman (+425)

I expect an offensive show from the Dodgers in their final meeting with the Rockies. Oddsmakers have set this total at 12.5, so they are also expecting a ton of runs early and often. Rockies’ starter Noah Davis is 0-3 with a 7.91 as a starter. In his five starts, he has allowed four home runs. 

Mookie Betts, Max Muncy and James Outman have 20+ home runs against right-handed pitching. Look for them to have a significant impact on tonight’s game. 

Adley Rutschman (+700) / Austin Hays (+700)

Outside of Ryan Mountcastle, there has been little power from the Orioles lineup against lefties. But, I had to find a way to take advantage of “Patrick Corbin Day.”

With Mountcastle back on the IL, I found some value on Adley Rutschman and Austin Hays, who both have +700 odds to hit an HR.

Mountcastle leads this Baltimore team in HRs against lefties with 12; in second place are Rutschman and Hays with five. Hays also is third on the team in ISO (.201) and has a career .583 batting average against Corbin. There is tremendous value on both of these batters with +700 odds.

Matt Olson (+295) / Ozzie Albies (+390)

I said last week that using Braves players is like a cheat code when giving out HR props. Of course, that day, they didn’t hit a single HR. Still, I’m going back to the well. They can’t let me down twice in a row, can they?

Cubs’ starter Jameson Taillon has given up 12 HRs in his last 10 starts. His 1.62 HR/9 is the sixth-highest among today’s starters. While the Braves have seemingly nothing to play for today, I still think we can see a few dingers in today’s game. 

The total is 10, the second highest on today’s slate.
