Saturday’s Best To Hit A Home Run Player Prop Bets

Odds courtesy of FanDuel

Mike Trout (+200) & Hunter Renfroe (+340)

It’s hard not to back one of the greatest hitters of our generation on a day-to-day basis.

Mike Trout has a great matchup today with Zack Greinke on the mound for the Royals.

Trout has had plenty of exposure to Greinke with 22 at-bats, second most behind Hunter Renfroe (24). Over those 22 at-bats, Trout is batting .318 with one double, two triples, and one homerun. It is fair to say Trout may have Greinke’s number.

Like his teammate, Hunter Renfroe also has had success against Greinke. Over his career, Renfroe has faced the Royals’ starter 234 times, batting .292 with three home runs.

It is safe to say Zack Greinke is on the tail end of his career. Over his first four starts of 2023, he has posted a 4.03 ERA while allowing three home runs, all of which have come over his last two starts.

Bryan Reynolds (+380)

Bryan Reynolds was on an absolute tear to start 2023. Over the first seven games, he batted .448 with five home runs and 13 RBI. He has since cooled off a bit, with his average dropping to .280, and has been homer-less over the last 14 games.

What better way to get back on track than facing one of the worst pitchers in baseball?

Luis Cessa has an HR/9 of 2.25 (4th worst on today’s slate) and an HR/FB rate of 20%. Cessa has allowed three home runs in three starts this season.

Max Muncy (+350)

As I mentioned in our NRFI Props earlier, the Dodgers will be out for blood after getting embarrassed last night by Drew Smyly and the Cubbies.

After nearly being a victim of a perfect game, I look for LA to come out hot against Hayden Wesneski.

The Cub’s starter tends to give up the long ball, as he has given up three home runs over his last three starts. He has only pitched past the five-inning mark once this season, and that was against what could be argued as the worst team in baseball, the Oakland Athletics.

Over 13+ innings, Wesneski has an HR/FB rate of 21.4% which is up there with the worst in baseball.

Max Muncy leads the Dodgers lineup in ISO (.233) and already has eight home runs this season which are 3rd most thus far.
