MLB To Hit a Home Run Player Prop Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (5/30)
Major League Baseball takes center stage tonight since the Miami Heat and Vegas Golden Knights took care of business in their respective series on Monday. We have a full 15-game slate in the MLB which means there are a bunch of betting options available. I'm taking it to the prop sheet, where I've narrowed in on these four hitters to blast home runs tonight!

Paul Goldschmidt (+330)
The Cardinals were blanked in their series opener against the Royals yesterday, losing the in-state rivalry game 7-0. They'll attempt to bounce back tonight when they send Miles Mikolas to the bump. The Royals counter with Zack Greinke in this matchup scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET from Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO.
Greinke has been okay this season for Kansas City as he's just 1-5, but owns a 4.55 ERA and 1.19 WHIP in 11 starts. However, the right-hander has struggled on the road, posting a 6.66 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over 24.1 innings pitched.
He'll be tasked with taking on a Cardinals side that has decent numbers against him, slashing .271/.310/.474 in 133 at-bats. Specifically, the reigning MVP Paul Goldschmidt has found success, going 9-31 (.290) with three home runs and two doubles. Goldy's sitting at 10 big flies this year, and I think he'll have a great opportunity for number 11 tonight.
Shohei Ohtani (+310)
The Angels picked up a win last night in Chicago, beating the White Sox 6-4 in the series opener. They'll look to make it two in a row when they turn to Tyler Anderson in game two. The Sox opt for Lucas Giolito in this American League tilt scheduled for 8:10 p.m. ET from Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, IL.
Giolito has had an up-and-down season with the White Sox, posting a 3-4 record, 3.98 ERA, and 1.26 WHIP in 11 starts. Most recently, the right-hander surrendered four earned runs on six hits and seven walks against the Tigers in a 3-2 loss. Giolito has now given up a home run in his last five starts.
Shohei Ohtani is off to an above-average start this season, as he's hitting .263 with 12 bombs. He boasts a successful track record against Giolito, going he's 6-20 (.300) with two home runs, a triple, and a double. Let's ride with the superstar to take either Giolito or the underwhelming Chicago bullpen deep tonight.
Ronald Acuna Jr. (+290) & Austin Riley (+300)
The 11-game losing streak is officially over for the Oakland Athletics. The A's took down the Braves last night in the Bay, beating them 7-2. Atlanta will attempt to get back in the win column tonight when they send Bryce Elder to the bump. The Athletics opt for JP Sears in this interleague showdown slated for 9:40 p.m. ET from the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, CA.
Sears is winless on the year, sitting at 0-3 with a 4.70 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over 10 starts. The left-hander has given up 12 home runs over the 10 outings, spanning 53.2 innings of work.
He will not have an easy task tonight as he gets set to take on a Braves team that has destroyed lefties this year. Atlanta is first in team batting average (.312) and second in OPS (.942) against LHP in 2023. The numbers are insane when scrolling through the lineup, with Ozzie Albies hitting .452 in 62 at-bats, Eddie Rosario at .400 in 20 at-bats, Ronald Acuna Jr. at .340 in 50 at-bats, Sean Murphy at .333 in 45 at-bats, and Austin Riley hitting .308 in 52 at-bats.
I have a feeling last night's Oakland victory was a flash in the pan. The Braves should smoke the Athletics tonight and get back to their winning ways. I'm locking in both Acuna Jr. and Riley to go yard tonight. Each player has five home runs against left-handers this season.
