MLB To Hit a Home Run Player Prop Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (6/13)
We have a stacked slate of baseball tonight, with all 30 teams hitting the diamond. A few of the marquee matchups include the Blue Jays taking on the Orioles, the Yankees squaring off against the Mets and the Phillies going toe-to-toe with the Diamondbacks.
From a betting standpoint, I'm taking it to the prop sheet tonight. Here are my top three players who I believe have a great chance to hit a home run.
Today's Best To Hit A Home Run Prop Bets
MLB YTD: 45-76 (+8.89 Units) | Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+360)
The Blue Jays make the trip to Maryland for their midweek series, where they'll take on the Orioles for a trio of games. Tonight's series opener features a pitching matchup between Chris Bassitt and Dean Kremer. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EST from Camden Yards.
Kremer has been a reliable option for the O's this season and comes into tonight's game at 6-3 with a 4.89 ERA and 1.44 WHIP. However, he's given up 12 home runs this season in over 70.0 innings of work.
Toronto has squared off against the right-hander plenty of times, considering they're divisional opponents. The Jays are slashing .266/.355/.440 against Kremer over 109 at-bats. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. stands above the rest as he's 6-19 (.316) with four home runs and a double. He only has nine home runs this year, but I think this is a great opportunity for him to reach double digits tonight. Let's ride with âVladdyâ to go yard tonight.
Francisco Lindor (+425)
The Subway Series renews once again tonight as the Yankees get set to take on the Mets in the Big Apple. The Bombers opt for Luis Severino tonight, while the Mets counter with Max Scherzer. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. EST from Citi Field in Queens, N.Y.
Severino is set to make just his fifth start of the season tonight. The right-hander is prone to giving up the long ball, considering he has allowed seven tanks over just 20.1 innings pitched. That includes six homers over his last 9.0 innings of work.
With those stats, it feels inevitable that someone will take Severino deep tonight. Iâll take a flier on Francisco Lindor to hit a bomb. While he's hitting just .216 this season, he has blasted 12 big flies. The middle infielder is 5-17 (.294) against Severino with a home run and a double. I'm rolling with Lindor to launch a homer in this rivalry showdown.
Mookie Betts (+450)
The White Sox hit the road after a disappointing end to their homestand, where they blew two consecutive leads to the Marlins over the weekend. They won't have an easy task to bounce back tonight as they take on a fierce Dodgers squad. First pitch for this interleague tilt is scheduled for 10:10 p.m. EST from Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
Lance Lynn gets the nod in Game 1 of the series while the Dodgers roll out Tony Gonsolin. To be frank about it, Lynn has been a dumpster fire this season for the Southsiders. He's just 4-6 and brings in a 6.72 ERA and 1.56 WHIP. The burly right-hander has allowed 16 bombs over 72.1 innings of work throughout the 2023 campaign.
His task is taking on a Los Angeles offense that's first in all of baseball with 113 home runs. Mookie Betts has found a power surge this season as he's smacked 17 long balls, which is good enough for the seventh-most in MLB. The outfielder is 5-16 (.313) with a home run and a double against Lynn. Let's lock in Mookie against the struggling hurler.
