Day 2 of the Wild Card Round, and this being a best-of-three, this round could all end today. There are a couple of series that look like they could wrap up tonight, but some others could have a winner-take-all Game 3 on Sunday. Here are my picks for Mariners vs. Blue Jays.

MLB Wild Card Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Mariners vs. Blue Jays

Seattle Mariners vs. Toronto Blue Jays

  • Leg 1: Mariner ML (+136)
  • Leg 2Robbie Ray over 4.5 strikeouts (+104)
  • Leg 3: Adam Frazier to record 2+ total bases (+104)

The Mariners straight up came into Toronto with better pitching and hitting and took Game 1.

A possible storybook ending for Seattle, who will have Robbie Ray take the mound against the team he won a Cy Young with last season. Ray had a rough start this season but finished strong, going 7-6 with a 2.97 ERA after June 12th. He had one start in that span against the Jays, going six innings and allowing one earned in the win.

Kevin Gausman was essentially brought in to replace Ray in the rotation, and although he didn't have a Cy Young year, his 3.35 ERA was the second-best of his career, and the 2.38 FIP led the American League. He had an impressive start against the Mariners this year, allowing just two earned, but saw no run support and took the loss.

Gausman struggled at home this year, going 4-7 with a 4.57 ERA at the Rogers Centre and allowed five earned in three of his last six starts. This young Seattle team got the pressure off winning that first one and looks good to get the clean sweep on the road.
