Day 2 of the Wild Card Round, and this being a best-of-three, this round could all end today. There are a couple of series that look like they could wrap up tonight, but some others could have a winner-take-all Game 3 on Sunday. Here are my picks for Phillies vs. Cardinals.

MLB Wild Card Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Phillies vs. Cardinals
Philadelphia Phillies vs. St. Louis Cardinals
- Leg 1: Cardinals ML (+104)
- Leg 2: Over 6.5 (-118)
- Leg 3: Aaron Nola under 5.5 strikeouts (-130)
It looked like the Cardinals would have an easy route to a Game 1 win, but it did not happen that way. The Phillies would break out the offense, score six runs in the ninth, and steal the first game.
The Phillies will look to Aaron Nola to get the upset series win. When he’s on, he’s an exceptionally dominant pitcher that will force hitters to chase, but he’s had moments this year when his pitches are breaking over the plate, and he ends up getting shelled. He had one of those bad starts against the Cardinals, allowing five earned in the loss.
St. Louis will counter with Miles Mikolas, who was the Cardinals’ most consistent pitcher this season. The veteran is coming off a second All-Star appearance and led the rotation in wins (12), innings (202.1), and WHIP (1.033). Mikolas has two solid starts against Philadelphia this season, allowing five runs, three earned in 12.2 innings.
One inning completely changed the landscape of this series, but it will go better for the Cardinals today. They will force a Game 3.
