Tuesday’s Best MLB World Series Pick

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Los Angeles Dodgers (+110) at New York Yankees (-130) | O/U 8.5 (-108/-112)

The Yankees face a 0-3 deficit and will have to make history to win a world championship. Going into this series, their advantage was their starting pitching, but the Dodgers' starters have been better in this series.

The Yankees bats have also gone quiet. Juan Soto has been getting on via the walk, but he's been relatively contained. Aaron Judge is the most notable player to struggle; he's now just 1-for-12 in his first World Series.

The Dodgers are doing everything right. Starting pitching and the bullpen have struggled at times, but not enough to cost them the game.

If the Dodgers win this series, Freddie Freeman is your MVP. He's homered in all three games, and it's now five straight going back to his appearance in the 2021 World Series.

We mentioned the largest benefit for the Yankees was their starting pitching. They will send out Luis Gil for this pivotal game. He has one start in the playoffs, going 4.2 innings and allowing two earned runs against the Guardians. The problem that could trouble him is he allows walks. The Dodgers were second in walk percentage (9.8%) behind the Yankees. Los Angeles has done well hitting with runners on base.

This will be a bullpen game for the Dodgers, so you'll see many relievers throughout this game. This is a game the Yankees need to get the offense going. The Yankees need to have the Dodgers use as many relievers as possible to exhaust that bullpen. It’s easier said than done, as this offense has been non-existent for most of the series.

You would hope the Yankees could show a little spark, but you can’t with them finally scoring in the ninth with two outs. It took a walk-off grand slam to get a total to go over, so with the unders hitting, we’ll ride with that.

Pick: Under 8.5 Runs (-112)
