Ticket prices have plummeted in New York after the Los Angeles Dodgers took the first two games from the Yankees in the 2024 MLB World Series.
Another loss tonight, and the Yankees’ chances of winning another World Series will dwindle fast.
New York has decided to pitch Clarke Schmidt for tonight’s game. Meanwhile, the Dodgers will roll with Walker Buehler. Based on the analytics heading into tonight’s showdown, I’ll create a same-game parlay that you can tail below.

The analytics certainly don’t favor the Yankees tonight.
Clarke Schmidt will take the hill for the Yankees. The righty has already allowed a .296 ISO and wOBA of .451 to his last 35 lefties. Ultimately, he’s struck out just 17.1% of lefties and has allowed 17.1% of walks with 61.9% of hard contact and 33.3% of line drives to lefties.
We’ll want to take advantage of this.
It’s already been confirmed that Shohei Ohtani will start for the Dodgers tonight. He might’ve popped his shoulder last game, but he’s apparently fine now. Ohtani has hit a .184 ISO and wOBA of .381 against his last 47 righties and is in line for a big game tonight.
Max Muncy has also earned a .273 ISO and wOBA of .454 against his last 47 righties. Muncy is the best power-hitting lefty this team has. He’s been super consistent and patient and should dominate Schmidt.
In addition, the Dodgers’ lineup has only struck out 17% of the time over the last 30 days against righties. Only Teoscar Hernandez has struck out more than 21.1% of the time against righties. With Schmidt earning just 18.3% of strikeouts over the last month, I’ll grab his Under, even at home.
The Dodgers are a lethal offense. They work counts and make pitchers work. Eventually, they get a big hit that opens up the game. Schmidt might not last five innings.
