MLB World Series Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: Wednesday (Rangers vs. Diamondbacks)

Somehow, someway, Evan Carter failed to find a hit in the Rangers 11-run, 11-hit barrage over the Diamondbacks last night. That was just the second time in 16 games this postseason where he failed to find one. If he had come through we would’ve found another winner over at Sleeper, but enough about yesterday. Let’s find a winner for Game 5 of the World Series.

Here are the best Sleeper plays to consider for today, Wednesday, Nov. 1st.

Wednesday’s Best MLB Sleeper Picks Player Predictions

PrizePicks this season: 85-67-9 | Sleeper Picks Playoffs: 27-18

Corey Seager Over 0.5 Walks

At this point, Corey Seager deserves the Barry Bonds treatment. He continues to hit bombs, and without Adolis Garcia behind him in the lineup anymore, it would be wise for them to pitch around Seager, a la Bryce Harper last series. Seager hasn’t walked since Game 1 when he faced Zac Gallen, but that is exactly who he faces tonight. Gallen threw just three of his 11 pitches to Seager in the zone in that game.

Evan Carter Over 0.5 Hits

It didn’t work out yesterday, but I’m willing to go back to the Rangers’ rookie. He has burst onto the playoff scene this October and is third on Texas in wRC+ (162) and has recorded a hit in 14 of 16 games. That includes Game 1 of the World Series when he smacked two doubles against Zac Gallen.

Ketel Marte Over 0.5 Hits

Unlike Carter, Ketel Marte did come through for us yesterday going 2-5 at the dish with a double. He now has recorded a hit in all 16 games this postseason, batting .338  with a .914 OPS. Marte ripped a double against Nathan Eovaldi in his third at-bat against him in Game 1.
