Monday Night Football Player Props Picks & Predictions (Raiders vs. Chiefs)

The Chiefs have owned the Raiders during the Patrick Mahomes Era in Kansas City, winning seven of their last eight against the franchise. Will Monday night be the latest in a lopsided series, or can a revamped Vegas roster make things interesting?

Monday Night Football Player Props Picks & Predictions (Raiders vs. Chiefs)

Josh Jacobs Under 59.5 Rushing Yards (-110 via FanDuel Sportsbook)

The Kansas City Chiefs have boasted the best run defense in the NFL to this point in the season. Through four games, the Chiefs have allowed just 65.8 yards per game on the ground to their opponents. KC has held big-name running backs Leonard Fournette, Austin Ekeler, and James Conner to a combined 62 rushing yards. Only Jonathan Taylor has exceeded against the Chiefs the Monday night rushing total facing Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs had a career day last week against the Broncos in a game that the Raiders won. But the rushing environment should not be the same against the Kansas City defense. Across his last three games against the Chiefs, Jacobs has been held to 95 rushing yards with a high of 55 rushing yards in that span. As the Chiefs race out to a probable lead, the Raiders simply won’t be able to lean on Jacobs as much as they did last week. Factor in that the Chiefs have been extremely capable against running backs this season and you get a picture that isn’t favorable to the Raiders’ lead rusher.

The line is posted at O/U 61.5 at DraftKings, but with a hefty tax on betting the Over (-130). We prefer the outright fade of Jacobs rushing total with the line offered by FanDuel at the more reasonable -110.

Derek Carr To Thrown An Interception: Yes (-102 via FanDuel Sportsbook)

Raiders QB Derek Carr doesn’t have a favorable history against the Chiefs, winning just three out of 16 starts against the division rival in his career. Carr has been intercepted at least once in 11 of those 16 games, and the recent history is even worse.

Entering Monday, Carr has thrown at least one interception in seven consecutive games against the Chiefs. He’s coughed up 10 total picks in that span, with the Raiders winning just one of those games. The Kansas City defense has intercepted just one pass through four games this season. Picking off Carr, though, is a tradition unlike any other.

Carr has thrown a pick in six of his eight career games at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs should be swarming for another one on Monday in a game environment that should feature Carr dropping back with frequency.

Davante Adams Any Time Touchdown Scorer (+110 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Chiefs have allowed 10 passing touchdowns on the year. Only four defenses have allowed more, and that’s with the majority of the league having already played its fifth game. Though the Chiefs are heavy favorites at home against the Raiders Monday, it’s conceivable for the match-up that Derek Carr would find the endzone through the air.

Though Las Vegas inexplicably left its 32-23 win over the Broncos last week without a passing touchdown, Davante Adams still went for over 100 receiving yards on 13 targets. The passing offense runs through No. 17, as he’s scored a receiving touchdown in three of four games. That means Adams has caught a touchdown in each of the Raiders’ games in which Carr has thrown one. The Raiders should be throwing frequently to keep pace with Mahomes and Co. I like their shiny new addition to make his presence felt in his first appearance in the Chiefs-Raiders rivalry.
