MLB Best Bets

Miami Marlins @ Atlanta Braves

The Miami Marlins will pitch left-handed pitcher Ryan Weathers. While he's had some success against lefties, he's still struggled against righties. Weathers has allowed a .200 ISO and wOBA of .378 to his first 62 batters. Last year, it was more of the same. Weathers gave up a .228 ISO and wOBA of .400 to 193 righties and struck out only 14.5% of batters.

That said, the Braves have some of the most powerful righties in the MLB.

Ronald Acuna Jr. will lead things off for Atlanta. He's a righty who has hit a .209 ISO and wOBA of .392 against lefties since last year. Austin Riley has smashed a .270 ISO and wOBA of .377. Finally, Marcell Ozuna, who leads the MLB in homers, has a .340 ISO and wOBA of .427 against lefties since last season.

Weathers has much potential, but he'll likely suffer a significant setback against this group of righties.

NBA Best Bets

Orlando Magic @ Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers won the tip in Game 1 of the series and scored first. The Cavaliers made it look easy at home. Jarrett Allen won the tip over Jonathan Isaac, and 19 seconds later, Max Strus nailed the first bucket with a three-point jumper.

The Magic didn't even score until nearly two minutes went off the clock in that first game.

That said, it's not easy to beat Allen in the tip. He participated in 77 tip-offs and won 75% of them. Meanwhile, Isaac hasn't won one all season. It's very likely the Cavaliers will end up with possession of the ball first.

Although Strus scored the first bucket on Saturday, the Magic have actually allowed the most First Baskets to power forwards this season. Cleveland's power forward is Evan Mobley. Let's take our chances with him tonight!

Bet: Evan Mobley (+650)

Toronto Maple Leafs @ Boston Bruins

The Bruins continued their run over Toronto and came away with a 5-1 win. The offense wasn't dominating and was outshot 36-24, but they were great at attacking the net and taking advantage of power play opportunities. They haven't revealed their plans for the goaltending duties for the playoffs, but they'll likely continue rotating Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark, so this game would have Ullmark between the pipes.

The Leafs were able to get the shots off and were aggressive with the puck in Game 1, but Swayman was an absolute wall. The defense has been the problem throughout the season, and this continued in the first game. There's a sense that Ilya Samsonov will get the chance to redeem himself, but the hook could come quickly.

The Leafs' blue line looked vulnerable during that first game, and if they're going to allow these scoring opportunities to Boston, they'll take them. Toronto has the offense to match them, but Swayman and Ullmark are good enough to stop them.

Pick: Bruins Moneyline (-135)
