Today’s Best Bets

NBA Best Bets

Los Angeles Clippers @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Terance Mann has only played an average of about 20 minutes per game with the Clippers to begin the first two games in March. However, he saw nearly 27 minutes a game in February and shot 57.5% from the field in the month.

Mann has nailed at least nine points in four of his last five games and will face a Bucks team that ranks dead last in points allowed to point guards. Even if Mann plays just 20 minutes in tonight’s game, he should get over six shots up.

Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard has also added at least seven rebounds in four of his last five games. Leonard has actually grabbed eight rebounds or more in three of his previous five games. The Bucks rank 26th in the NBA in rebounds allowed to small forwards, and Leonard has nailed this line in every game against the Bucks dating back to last year.

We’ll finish up the parlay with Giannis Antetokounmpo to get under 6.5 assists. He’s only earned seven or more assists in 41% of games this season and has only achieved seven or more assists in one of his last five games. He’s also never hit this line against the Clippers in the previous two seasons.

Parlay Odds: +428

Seattle Kraken @ Calgary Flames

The Kraken have been looking much better recently, going 5-2-1 over their last eight. As you peel back the numbers, nothing is overwhelming with the Kraken that convinces you they’re a great team. They are barely over 50% in expected goals, and a lot of their success is thanks to their blue line and goaltending. While they’re eighth in expected goals-against per 60, they’re 28th in expected goals-scored per 60.

The Flames are hot, as this team is having a post-All-Star Break resurgence and is slipping back into the playoff conversation. They’ve been getting contributions throughout the offense, and over the last five games, 10 different players have at least one goal. Jakob Markstrom has been getting a ton of time in-net, but the veteran looks great, winning eight of his last 10 with a .928 save percentage in that time.

Now Seattle has to play a hot goalie, along with an offense that has a playmaker on every unit.

Bet: Flames Moneyline (-130)

Bayern Munich vs. Lazio

It hasn’t been a great run for Bayern recently, as they’re trailing 1-0 in this UCL aggregate while also chasing Bayer Leverkusen by 10 points in the Bundesliga. As for Lazio, they’ll be looking to lean on their strong defense to push through to the quarter-final round as they make the trip to the hostile Allianz Arena. Kickoff is scheduled for Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. ET from München, Germany.

Bayern’s a sizable favorite to win this match (-370), and they’re also -285 to advance to the quarter-finals. Lazio is +220 to advance, per DraftKings Sportsbook. I have to agree with the sportsbooks on this one; I see Bayern completing the comeback and pushing ahead to the next round. I think the Bavarians get the job done in the first 90 minutes, so I’ll lay the 1.5 goals in this spot.

Mainly, it’s Lazio’s road form that interests me in the hosts. They posted a mediocre 1-1-1 record on the road during the group stage, getting out-scored 5-3. That includes a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid, who was the fiercest competition in Group E. Meanwhile, Bayern is undefeated at home in its last 13 UCL matches, going 10-3-0. They have a stable of scorers, led by Harry Kane, and I expect this veteran group to figure things out and advance.

Bet: Bayern Munich -1.5 (-130)
