Seattle Seahawks @ New York Giants

The offense for Seattle might be even better than last season. QB Geno Smith has picked up where he left off as a fringe MVP candidate last year, and the plethora of weapons he has on offense is a big reason why. New York has had an atrocious pass defense, ranking 30th in pass defense DVOA this season. It’ll be a bit of a pick-your-poison type of game for the New York defense, and if Seattle decides to run the ball, good luck stopping RB Kenneth Walker III. The Michigan State product is coming off a strong performance against Carolina and has racked up four TDs in his last two games. No matter how you slice it, it will be a long day for the Giants’ defense.

New York will likely be without RB Saquon Barkley and OT Andrew Thomas for this matchup. This is terrible news for an offense that has already struggled mightily this year. After securing a nice contract, QB Daniel Jones has not lived up to it. Seattle posts a below-average pass defense per DVOA, but without his safety valve in Barkley, I don’t think Jones can take advantage of it.

Last year, the Giants over-achieved a bit per their Pythagorean win total. The regression is rearing its ugly head this season, and we probably haven’t seen the rock bottom yet. Seattle is the better team in almost every aspect, and the fact that they’re on the road doesn’t scare me. In fact, I like it even more. Since 2012, the Seahawks are an incredible 26-9 SU in the Eastern Time Zone, nearly a .750 winning percentage. I like them to add another to the win column here and cover against the Giants.

Bet: Seahawks -1.5 (-110)
