Cleveland Browns @ Houston Texans

I love an underdog at home in the playoffs.

The Cleveland Browns have looked unstoppable with Joe Flacco under center, but they’re still dealing with many injuries heading into this game. Myles Garrett has a shoulder/hamstring issue, Amari Cooper is dealing with a heel issue and the list can go on and on. I’m sure everyone will play, but that has to take a toll on those players.

Meanwhile, the Texans allowed just 22 points in their last eight quarters against Tennessee and Indianapolis in conference matchups to make the playoffs.

Before that game, the Browns defeated Houston 36-22. However, things will be different with C.J. Stroud in the picture instead of Davis Mills and Case Keenum. Keenum threw two interceptions and was sacked three times. Meanwhile, Mills averaged under five yards a throw against the Browns.

On the other hand, while Flacco had a career day with Amari Cooper in that game, the Browns averaged just 1.8 yards on the ground. I’ve always believed Houston’s secondary and pass rush was the best part of its defense. They’ll show up on Saturday.

Let’s back the Texans at +2.5.

Bet: Texans +2.5 (-110)

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Washington Wizards

Lu Dort isn’t the highest scorer on the Thunder. But he’s got an excellent matchup against the Washington Wizards tonight. The Wizards are ranked dead last in points per game allowed to small forwards. Dort has already scored 12 or more points in two straight games and has had previous success against the Wizards in his career dating back to last season.

In January, Dort has played 31.7 minutes per game and has attempted about 10 shots per night.

Hopefully, it’s Jalen Williams dishing him the assists. Williams is facing a Wizards team that is also dead last in assists allowed to small forwards. Williams has added at least four assists in two straight games and has hit this line in six of his previous 10.

Finally, Tyus Jones of Washington has nailed at least two threes in seven of his last 10 games. Jones is facing a Thunder squad that ranks 28th against three-pointers. Jones is already third on the Wizards in scoring and has attempted at least six threes in two straight games.

Parlay Odds: +470

#2 Washington Huskies vs. #1 Michigan Wolverines (CFB Championship)

Michigan star RB Blake Corum may have lost some of his explosiveness from prior seasons due to surgery to repair a knee injury from last season, but that sure hasn’t stopped the Wolverines from feeding him the ball. Corum has carried the ball 237 times on the season (more than double that of their second-string RB Donovan Edwards) for 1,111 yards and an insane 25 TDs.

In their semifinal matchup, Corrum carried the ball 19 times compared to four from Edwards, tallying 83 yards on the ground for one TD and adding another score with a TD reception against an Alabama defense that is unquestionably more stout than this Washington defense (though improved) that they’ll be up against in the championship game.

I expect for that workload to remain consistent against the Huskies, and I anticipate that he will get a lion’s share of the offensive opportunities around the red zone. I love for Corum to score twice in this game, just as he did in Michigan’s semifinal matchup.

Bet: Blake Corum To Score 2+ TDs (+135)
