NBA All-Star Game Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (2/18)

The NBA All-Star Game will tip-off on Sunday at 8:00 pm ET from Indianapolis’s Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Before 2018, the NBA went with the Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference format but changed it to team captains and a draft. While the NBA had some success with that format, they’ve decided to get back to the old format, between the East vs. West for the first time since 2017.

There’s no target score. We’re just playing basketball for four quarters. I think fans will be happier this way. Last year, we didn’t even know the teams until the final minutes before tip-off. Now, we have all the teams and the reserves weeks before the event. That helps out us sports bettors a lot!

Below, I’ve put together a Same-Game Parlay (SGP) to consider for Sunday’s All-Star Game.

Eastern Conference vs. Western Conference

  • Leg 1: Western Conference -3 (-114)
  • Leg 2: Over 363.5 (-110)

FanDuel is not currently allowing Same-Game Parlays with player props for the All-Star Game. That could change in the future. But for now, the only way to assemble an SGP is by parlaying the spread and total.

The Eastern Conference was expected to start Tyrese Haliburton, Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum and Joel Embiid. However, Embiid won’t be able to play in this game. Bam Adebayo will likely take his place as the starting center for the Eastern Conference.

Embiid isn’t the only one injured on the Eastern side. Julius Randle won’t be able to play in this game due to an injury, and Jalen Brunson is currently sidelined with an ankle injury. Brunson expects to be ready for his first All-Star Game. Still, Trae Young and Scottie Barnes replaced Embiid and Randle on the Eastern roster.

They’ll also be coached by Doc Rivers, who can’t seem to figure out the Milwaukee Bucks after taking over a few weeks ago.

On the other hand, the Western Conference is all ready to go. There are no replacements there. They’ll start Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Nikola Jokic.

The West also has Devin Booker, Steph Curry, Anthony Edwards, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Davis off the bench. This team is way more stacked than the East. Curry is in his 10th All-Star Game and has the potential to take over with that second unit.

Who will be consistent enough to take over on the Eastern Conference second unit? An unhealthy Jalen Brunson or a less-than-100% Tyrese Maxey?

Donovan Mitchell is a star for the Cavaliers and will be coming off the bench. But can he go toe-to-toe with players like Booker and Curry? Or should we expect Jaylen Brown to have a big game off the bench as the highest-paid player in the NBA? Probably not. The depth is with the Western Conference.

Plus, Team LeBron won five of six seasons during the draft. Any team LeBron is on is the team you want to be on.

Meanwhile, in the last two Eastern-Western games, the West scored 196 and 192 points. We’re likely going to get a lot of scoring with this format change and that’ll benefit the Over.

Parlay Odds: +254
