Top NBA Odds, Picks & Predictions: Thursday (11/3)
Golden State Warriors @ Orlando Magic (+8.5) | O/U: 226.5
The Warriors have been the worst road team in the NBA early in the season, and have struggled to integrate many of their young playmakers into the rotation. If their shooters have a pedestrian night, Orlando shouldn’t have an issue covering this spread. It will take some stomach to bet on the lowly Magic, but consider their lone victory was the last home game they played– a 20-point rout of the Hornets.
Further, the Warriors are 0-4 ATS on the road, failing to cover by an average greater than double digits. Golden State has lost to similarly poor teams already this season, and I’m less than inclined to bet they solve their road woes tonight. Take the Magic.
Bet: Magic +8 (-110 at DraftKings)
Denver Nuggets @ Oklahoma City Thunder (+6) | O/U: 229.5
These two teams met earlier this season, resulting in a 122-117 Denver victory. In that game, the Nuggets were nine-point home favorites, and the Thunder covered the spread for its entirety. It is wrong to simply project that outcome onto this one, but it is difficult to find a reason to lay six points with the Nuggets right now. Denver has stumbled their way to a 4-3 start, and the Thunder have proven to be a pesky opponent for the team. Further, the Nuggets have especially struggled on the road (1-3 SU and ATS), and the Thunder sense vulnerability as they look to make it four consecutive victories in OKC.
Last note: OKC is a pristine 6-1 ATS on the season (best in the NBA), and have been catching a majority of the early action on this game. There is a chance this number shortens, bet this line sooner rather than later.
