NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (3/3)
We got back in the win column on Wednesday night, covering easily with the 76ers before grinding out a cover with the Cavaliers. Following a rather shallow Thursday slate, weâre right back in the saddle with three more games on Friday Iâm dialed in on.
Letâs take a closer look.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Atlanta Hawks
With inside of two months remaining until the NBA playoffs, itâs time for teams with real talent in this league to get serious; and the Hawks are one of those teams. This Hawks team is now as healthy as theyâve been all season long, especially at the top, with Trae Young and John Collins now regularly seeing the floor together.
For the Trail Blazers, outside of Dame Lillard, this team still largely has no elite-level talent, and now having lost four of their past five, expect a similar result tonight in Atlanta.
Bet: Hawks -6.5 (-110)
Phoenix Suns vs. Chicago Bulls
While the Suns with Kevin Durant still have plenty of growing to do before they can be considered a lock in the Western Conference, game #1 on Wednesday showed me theyâre further along than I thought. Beating the Hornets by 14 on the road, theyâll get a similar level of competition tonight in Chicago.
Despite winning three of their last four, the Bulls have beaten up the likes of Detroit in Brooklyn and, spanning back over their last 10, have won just three and covered two. With ground to make up in the West, the Suns roll tonight over a much weaker opponent, even by NBA standards.
Bet: Suns -5.5 (-110)
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers
Despite LeBron being down for three weeks with an ankle injury, something tells me weâre not quite done yet with this Lakers team this season. Winners of four of their past five, the now ego-less Lakers are starting to play some of their best basketball of the season, with three of those wins over playoff teams.
For the Timberwolves, sky-high expectations to start the season have fallen flat, as they currently sit firmly in the play-in tournament with less than two months to play. With their own star Karl-Anthony Towns out as well, I donât expect them to be making any runs this month.
Bet: Lakers +1 (-110)
