NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (3/31)

After leading the Mavs game on Wednesday well into the fourth quarter outright, the 76ers stormed back to gut punch a Dallas team now all but eliminated and give us an ATS loss. We then cruised with the Lakers before missing the T-Wolves spread by a point.

With a shallow Thursday slate of just two games, our attention turns to a packed Friday slate, with just 10 days remaining in the NBA regular season.

YTD Record: 106-85-5 ATS

Toronto Raptors vs. Philadelphia 76ers

In one of their best games in recent memory, the 76ers stormed back on Wednesday night to beat the Mavericks at home, not just winning but covering as 6-point favorites. The victory snapped a three-game slide, all of which came on the road, as the 76ers have a critical three-game stretch following this game against Milwaukee, Boston, and Miami.

While the 76ers are firmly in the playoffs and likely will have the #3 seed, the Raptors are currently in the 9th seed and in danger of playing in the back half of the Play-In Tournament. Having won three straight, all at home, the road get’s much tougher tonight, and I think they catch a 76ers team starting to dial it in for the postseason.

A focused 76ers team rolls in this one.

Bet: 76ers -6 (-110)

Orlando Magic vs. Washington Wizards

Having followed this Wizards team for the better part of the past decade, if there’s one thing they do well, it’s win games when no one cares. Big games? They couldn’t close a door. But in games like this, where even if they win it likely doesn’t move the needle, they tend to show up.

Having won two of three as they chase the final Play-In game, the Wizards welcome to town a Magic team who likely saw their window close for good with a loss on Tuesday at Memphis. Still managing to cover as 7-point underdogs, I don’t they cover this number as the Wizards players play hard, if for nothing else; auditions to play elsewhere next season.

Bet: Wizards -3 (-110)

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Don’t look now, but here comes the Lake Show. Once left for dead, the Lakers have now stormed up the Play-In Tournament seedings and sit just 1.5 games out from a spot in the actual postseason (6th seed).

Arguably as healthy as they’ve been all season long, they draw a Minnesota team that sits just a half-game ahead of them in the playoff seeding. Expect a playoff-type atmosphere here and for the veteran-led Lakers to steal one on the road.

Bet: Lakers +1 (-110)
