Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (2/3)

Following the postponement of Wizards/Pistons on Wednesday due to an ice storm, we went 1-1 ATS, losing just the juice. Following a busier than usual Thursday slate, our attention now turns to Friday as we have three plays I’m dialed in on.

Let's take a closer look.

Wizards vs. Trail Blazers

With the postponement of Wednesday’s game in Detroit, the Wizards come into this game with a rare four days’ rest as they look to build on a six-game winning streak. The last time we saw them on the court was one of the most impressive games of their run, beating the Spurs 127-106 following a 29-point fourth quarter.

Portland, who also come into tonight playing well, winning four of their past five games. On Thursday, they traveled to Memphis and knocked off the Grizzlies 122-112 as Dame Lillard dropped 42 on the night.

In this one, I like for Beal to lock Dame up, as the Wizards get this one done on the road.

Bet: Wizards -4.5 (-110)

Suns vs. Celtics

In Friday night’s marquee game, the Suns head east to take on a Celtics team that is still looking to approach postseason form. Winners of their past two straight, scoring 125 or more in both, the Celtics continue to rely on one of the best offenses in the league, now averaging 118.2 points per game.

Things will get tougher in this one, however, as they welcome to town a Suns team that is top five in defensive points allowed at just 111.8 per game. They also should come into this one ticked off, getting embarrassed on national television Wednesday night at home vs. Atlanta.

The Suns hang tough in this one, staying within what I see as a very inflated number full of recency bias.

Bet: Suns +9.5 (-110)

Hawks vs. Jazz

Speaking of those Hawks, they sure are rolling.

Coming into Friday night, the Hawks have won six of their past 10, lighting up the scoreboard in their last few outings. Since January 23rd, the Hawks have scored 125 or more in three of their past four games.

As for the Jazz, three wins in their past four games has them coming into this one at a near pick-em, but a closer look shows some soft spots in their game. Heading into this one, the Jazz rank 23rd or worse kind defensive points allowed and FG%, two metrics the Hawks have a big edge in here.

Bet: Hawks +1.5 (-110)
