Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (11/4)

We got the brooms out Thursday morning as we swept the Wednesday slate, with all three of our best bets getting there. After a shallow Thursday card with just two games, our attention now turns to a jamp-packed Friday evening slate.

Let’s take a closer look at how things might shake out.

YTD Record: 13-7-1 ATS

1. Nets -1 -110 at DK Sportsbook

Despite the off-court narratives surrounding this team that likely won’t stop anytime soon, it’s still a deeply talented roster. Durant is already starting to hit his stride, averaging 32.5 points per game to this point, with Irving eclipsing 26 per game as of Thursday. The Nets’ help off the bench has been a primary source of their issues, as they combined for just 25 points in their latest 108-99 loss to the Bulls on Tuesday.

As for the Wizards, depth might also be an issue this season, as they’re one injury away in the starting lineup from being in serious trouble. While Kristaps Porzingis has been great to start the season, I think an aggressive Royce O’Neale with Durant helping on the block should shut him down in this one.

The Nets bench issues should get lighter on Friday as Seth Curry is expected back following an ankle injury. I like for the Nets to get the better of a shallow Wizards team Friday in DC.

2. Celtics -6.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

The 2022-23 Celtics appear to have met their match with a Cleveland Cavaliers team that beat them twice in the past week. With a win (and cover) sandwiched in between, the Celtics are hovering one game above .500 on the season, despite being one of the best offensive teams in the league to this point. Coming into this matchup, the Celtics are in the top 10 in points per game, 3PT %, and Free Throw %, and steadily improving on defense.

As for the visiting Bulls, a 3-4 start has been followed up with two straight wins, keeping both the Hornets and Nets to under 100 points in the process. They have relied heavily on their defensive efforts, currently allowing 108.8 points per game to rank 6th in the league. They’ve also relied on the opposing teams playing short-handed, something they won’t have in this one.

Look for Tatum and Brown to have big nights for the Celtics as they close out an otherwise mediocre week.

3. Clippers -6 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

We cashed with these Clippers on Wednesday, and we’re going right back to them again as they come into this one fresh off of consecutive wins for just the second time this season. With Wall back in the lineup, these Clippers really opened up the offense, winning 109-101 on the road at Houston Wednesday.

As for the Spurs, they’re at major talent disparity in this one, and I like for a big night from Paul George to drown them in the second half.
