Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (10/21)
A two-game slate on Thursday night leads into an 11-game slate Friday, as all teams have at least one game under their belt as of tonight. Letâs take a look at a few of the games Iâm keyed in on after a strong start to the season on Monday.

YTD Record (2-0-1)
#1. Spurs/Pacers Under 231 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
The arguably two worst teams in the NBA from a roster standpoint will square off tonight in Indianapolis, as one will be forced to pick up their first win of the season. For the home Pacers, the injury report already looks in mid-season form as headlined by Miles Turner who tweaked his ankle in warmups Wednesday and is now expected to miss at least a week.
For the Spurs, 102 points in their opener were amongst the worst in the league, as they lack any strong shooters from the field, finishing game one at just 20.6% from deep. Their defense was also terrible, albeit against a sneaky-good Hornets offense albeit without Ball in the lineup. Look for a concerted effort on the defensive front from Popâs side as this one stays under.
#2. Grizzlies -5.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
The Grizzlies take on the Rockets tonight for the fourth time in the past year, with Memphis winning three of four and covering this number in each of their wins. All-Star Ja Morant picked up right where he left off last season, dropping 34 points in the opener Wednesday as the Grizz outlasted the Knicks in overtime winning 115-112.
While the Rockets should be formidable this season as we came a point away from getting the cover with them Wednesday, their roster is a G-League All-Star team in NBA jerseys. I expect the Grizzles to lock down Kevin Porter Jr., making the rest of the team try and beat them. A feat I donât see happening with the Grizzlies at full strength.
#3. Warriors -5.5| -110 at DK Sportsbook
This could very well end up being a Western Conference Finals preview, but itâs going to take some time for the Nuggets to get back in sniffing distance of that level of play. Welcoming back Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray on Wednesday, who both have missed extended team in the past year with serious injuries, the Nuggets stumbled out of the gates vs. Utah losing 102-123.
While they fought back in the second half, they ultimately didnât have the gas in the tank to get the win. And thatâs how I see this one playing out as well against an insanely deep Warriors team.
Handling business in their opening/ring ceremony game on Tuesday, the Warriors are very much poised to repeat if they remain healthy. And health is very much on their side in this one.
