Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (12/12)

We swept the board on Friday, going 3-0 ATS to claw our way back to .500 on the season with 69 games under our belt. The journey continues this evening, as we head right back to a full slate of NBA action to search for value.

Here are the three bets I’m on for tonight’s games.

YTD Record: 33-33-3 ATS

Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (12/12)

1. Nets -5 (-110)

Having lost nine of their past 10 games, the Wizards are in complete free fall as their losing streak has reached six. The absence of Rui Hachimura (ankle), has been a large part of the Wizards’ slide, as Bradley Beal (hamstring), has also now missed three straight.

Ben Simmons has been the primary loss for the Nets, but that hasn’t stopped Brooklyn from winning seven of eight. Kevin Durant (rest) missed Saturday’s 136-133 win vs. Indiana and should come into this one fully rested and ready to go in his hometown.

Even with Kyrie Irving questionable for this one tonight, I like for the Nets to roll.

2. Spurs +7 (-110)

Looking to win three straight games for the first time this season, the Spurs welcome the Cavaliers to town tonight. The wins come don’t the heels of an 11-game slide, one of the worst of the Coach Pop era and one that has torpedoed this team in the Western Conference standings.

For the Cavaliers, they have quietly been one of the most consistent teams in the NBA this season, currently #3 in the East in large part thanks to a defense that is allowing just 104.8 points per game to lead the league.

The Spurs, while they still rank dead last in the league in points allowed (120.4), have buckled down in these last two games. Look for them to have enough to keep this one close.

3. Timberwolves/Trail Blazers Under 230 (-110)

Two of the league’s worst 3-point shooting teams will square off tonight in Portland, as both teams are also dealing with injuries to key players. Facing off against one another on Saturday, the Trail Blazers got the better of the matchup, winning 124-118 thanks to making 89% of their free throws in a high-intensity game.

This time around, I like for a concerted effort on defense from both sides, as this one manages to stay under the now-inflated total.
