NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (3/15)
The Bucks prevented us from getting swept on Monday, beating the Kings 133-124 to cover our spread as we lost on both the Pacers and the Mavericks. Thatâs how the game goes sometimes. As our attention now turns to Wednesdayâs slate, we dial back into three spots Iâm on in the NBA.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
Two teams in the top half of the Eastern Conference standings will square off tonight in Cleveland, as the Cavaliers currently sit three games behind the 76ers in the 4th seed. After a sluggish start to February, the Cavs have now won five of their past six games, once again on a run few teams in the NBA can compete with.
The 76ers are one of those teams. Coming into tonight, theyâve won six of their past seven, including five straight (3-2 ATS). They also come in with the added bonus of rest, having not played since Sunday with the Cavaliers now playing back-to-back nights and two games in three days. Look for Philly to take advantage of the tired legs.
Bet: 76ers -2.5 (-110)
Los Angeles Lakers vs. Houston Rockets
One of just three teams already eliminated from the playoffs, the Rockets have been the worst team in the league all season long, coming into tonight with just 16 wins on the season. Losers of seven of their last 10, the Rockets now welcome to town a Lakers team getting hot at the right time, as theyâve now won seven of their past 10.
With LeBron James sidelined, Anthony Davis has taken over this team, that now ranks top 10 in the league in points per game, as well as FG%, as Davis and guard Malik Beasley have carried the load. Though Iâm not sure how much they do with it, I do expect these Lakers in the play-in tournament. They should pick up a relatively easy win tonight in Houston.
Bet: Lakers -3 (-110)
Dallas Mavericks vs. San Antonio Spurs
The Mavs will look to get back on track tonight against a familiar foe, as they are in now desperate need of a win after losing three straight games. Losing consecutive games to a Grizzlies team without Ja Morant, the Mavsâ scoring woes have reached new lows. Theyâve failed to score more than 108 points in any of their past three games.
Enjoying a six-game winning streak over these Spurs, look for the Mavs to have a get-right performance tonight.
Bet: Mavericks -6 (-110)
