Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (12/21)

After a lackluster ATS week last week, we responded in a big way to start this one, going 3-0 ATS on Monday to get our head back above water. As we’ve seen, however, there’s no rest for the wicket as we dial right back into the action tonight.

Let’s take a closer look at the three spots I’m on.

Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (12/21)

1. Cavaliers -2.5 (-110)

In what will be their second back-to-back in three weeks, the Bucks head to Cleveland tonight following a 128-119 win last night in New Orleans. Grabbing their third win in four games, the Bucks are keeping pace atop the Eastern Conference standings but now draw a team in Cleveland who is pacing just behind.

Just two games behind the Bucks now in the standings, the Cavs have won four straight games, as tonight will be the fourth in a seven-game home stand. Relying on the league’s best defense allowing just 104.4 points per game, I like the Cavs to edge this one out at home.

2. Pacers +10.5 (-110)

Having lost four of their past five games, the Celtics desperately needed the two days of rest they received this week as they tried to reset from what has been one of their worst stretches of the season. Failing to score more than 109 points in all four losses, this Celtics team still averages 118.2 points per game to lead the league.

For the Pacers, despite losing four of five themselves, they are still just one game below .500, as this team has battled throughout this young season. While I think the Celtics get back on track tonight, this number is too big.

3. Clippers -7.5 (-110)

We head West for our final game of the card as the LA Clippers welcome in a floundering Charlotte team that has torpedoed down the standings. Their 125-119 win on Wednesday was their first since December 2nd, as injuries and effort have caused this team to sink within one game of last place in the East.

As for the Clippers, winning four of their past five has them firmly back in the playoff race, as the return of Kawhi Leonard has brought everything many hoped it would. Defensively, they rank in the top five in the league nearly across the board, which should spell trouble for a Hornets side ranking 29th and 30th, respectively, in FG% and 3PT%.

Look for the Clippers to roll, even if Paul George (questionable) doesn’t suit up tonight at home.
