Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (1/11)

We started the week in the black, going 2-1 on Monday and losing only the Wizards’ play. Following a bigger-than-average Tuesday slate, our attention now turns to Wednesday as we look to stay profitable.

Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: January 11, 2023

Bulls -1.5 (-110) vs. Wizards

Two teams heading in opposite directions will square off tonight in our nation’s capital, as the Bulls take on the free-falling Wizards. The fall had been suspended to close out 2022, as the Wizards won five straight going into January 1st. Since then, however, the latest injury to Bradley Beal has them now losers of three straight. All of those defeats came by 10 points or more.

A slow start for Chicago has looked better as of late, as they have won three of their past four against sure-playoff teams in Brooklyn, Philly and Utah. With the Wizards now dealing with an injured Daniel Gafford and Kristaps Porzingis, the Bulls should take this one with relative ease.

Bucks -2.5 (-110) vs. Hawks

Despite winning two of their past three, these aren’t the Hawks we are accustomed to seeing. With Clint Capela continuing to miss time with a calf injury, the Hawks have now lost five of seven. They simply can’t stop teams from basically scoring at will.

That will likely be an issue for the Hawks against tonight against Milwaukee. Outside of Khris Middleton (knee), the Bucks are as healthy as they have been all season. The biggest area of concern for the Hawks will be down low where the Bucks are averaging 49.3 boards per game (1st NBA).

Following a close start, look for the Bucks to pull away in the final quarter.

Spurs +13.5 (-110) vs. Grizzlies

Having just played on Monday in Memphis, the Spurs and Grizzlies will go at it again tonight. This time, Ja Morant is expected to suit up, causing a line that was -11 two days ago to re-open at -14 for tonight.

Still, I’m buying the Spurs here.

Despite winning just two of their past seven games, the Spurs have covered six. Just like all Coach Pop teams, this one doesn’t roll over easily. Despite the Grizzlies’ points per game edge, the Spurs also have the edge here in shooting both in FG% and 3PT%.

While everyone is zigging on the Grizz with Morant, I’m still zagging on Coach Pop.
