Top 3 NBA Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Wednesday (1/4)

Pacers +7 (-110) vs. 76ers

The 76ers continue to play strong after a slow start, coming into Wednesday having won eight of 10 including two straight. Their defense has largely been to thank for this recent success, currently top 10 in defensive FG% and 3PT%, as well as points allowed per game. Their health has had a large part to do with that, as they remain one of the healthiest teams in the league to this point.

Just two games behind the 76ers, however, the Pacers have quietly been playing some great ball themselves. Coming into Wednesday, the Pacers have won four straight, scoring 122 points or more in each of those games (4-0 ATS).

Rightful underdogs in this one as they hit the road, I think the Pacers can still stay inside of this number.

Spurs +9 (-110) vs. Knicks

With just 12 wins on the season, the Spurs lead only the Rockets in the Western Conference, as they are fully in the midst of a rebuild. Even still, the Spurs continue to fight hard, covering three of their past five games, all but one against current playoff contenders.

For the Knicks, their defense has them playing well of late, picking up consecutive wins against the Rockets and Suns, allowing 88 points or less in both. The Knicks have, however, lost five of their past seven, and I’m not sure are in the form that this line suggests.

Bulls +4.5 (-110) vs. Nets

The Nets head to Chicago on Wednesday looking to make it their 13th straight win, as they’ve now surged to #2 in the Eastern Conference. The challenge in this one will be their steepest of the week, as they face a Bulls team who has improved throughout the season.

Before consecutive losses to Cleveland, the Bulls had won five of their previous six, including three of four of which came at home. The Nets’ run will end sometime, and I expect the Bulls to make a strong case for it to be in Chicago.
