NBA Betting Picks & Predictions for Friday: Grizzlies vs. Rockets (2022)

A two-game slate on Thursday night leads into an 11-game slate Friday, as all teams have at least one game under their belt as of tonight. NBA Betting Picks & Predictions for Friday: Grizzlies vs. Rockets

Grizzlies -5.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
The Grizzlies take on the Rockets tonight for the fourth time in the past year, with Memphis winning three of four and covering this number in each of their wins. All-Star Ja Morant picked up right where he left off last season, dropping 34 points in the opener Wednesday as the Grizz outlasted the Knicks in overtime winning 115-112.

While the Rockets should be formidable this season as we came a point away from getting the cover with them Wednesday, their roster is a G-League All-Star team in NBA jerseys. I expect the Grizzles to lock down Kevin Porter Jr., making the rest of the team try and beat them.  A feat I don’t see happening with the Grizzlies at full strength.
