NBA Betting Systems Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (12/17)
Tonight, weâve got a standalone NBA Cup Championship game. The Milwaukee Bucks will play the Oklahoma City Thunder for the NBA In-Season Tournament championship.
This should be fun. That said, Iâve found a bet to consider for tonightâs game using the NBA betting systems. There arenât many for this game, but hereâs one I love.

NBA OKC Favorites â Spread
The Oklahoma City Thunder have gained 7.07 units as favorites against the spread (ATS) over their last 76 games. The Thunder have earned a return on investment (ROI) of 9.3% and have won 57.3% of the time against the spread during this stretch.
Tonight, the Thunder are 5.5-point favorites against the Bucks in the NBA Cup Championship.
At this time, Oklahoma City ranks No. 1 in point differential with a differential of +12.3. The defense has held teams to 104.4 points per 100 possessions and has allowed just a 50% effective field goal percentage. Additionally, the Thunder have earned a league-high 19% of turnovers. So, although the Thunder allow a high rate of offensive rebounds and foul shots, Oklahoma City can still limit possessions with a high rate of turnovers.
On the other hand, the Milwaukee Bucks rank 11th in points per 100 possessions. However, theyâve struggled mightily on the offensive glass, earning only 21.1% of offensive rebounds. If the Bucks canât take advantage of the Thunderâs below-average defensive rebounding, itâll be hard for Milwaukee to escape with a win.
The Bucks typically get really good looks. Theyâve shot an effective field goal percentage of 57.5% and are hot over the last few weeks. But itâs way more likely the Thunder will keep the Bucks below their seasonâs effective field goal percentage.
Conversely, the Bucks rank 17th in defensive points per 100 possessions. Milwaukee rarely forced turnovers and has allowed an average free throw rate of 19. The Bucks have been better on the defensive glass and have limited teams to a 53.3% effective field goal percentage.
Like the Thunder, the Bucks will get stops on defense. However, the Thunder have turned the ball over just 11.7% of the time. Ultimately, turnovers will decide the game. The Thunder should have far fewer of them, providing them with extra opportunities and more shots.
Letâs back the Thunder using the profitable system.
Pick: Thunder -5.5 (-105)
