NBA Finals Player Prop Bets: Jimmy Butler, Nikola Jokic (Heat vs. Nuggets)

Denver’s dominance continues as they easily took Game 1 in the NBA Finals. They were the better team on both sides of the court, and Miami will have to make a lot of adjustments to avoid going down 0-2. Let’s look at some players that could make an impact tonight.

Sunday’s Best NBA Playoffs Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Nikola Jokic OVER 51.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists (-115)

The Nuggets won their fourth straight Game 1 of the playoffs as the Heat could not keep up with their ability to move the ball. The Nuggets’ defense was nearly perfect, and they only allowed Miami to get to the strip twice.

One of the highlighted matchups fans were looking forward to seeing was Nikola Jokic vs. Bam Adebayo. It’s hard to tell who was better in Game 1 because their stats were similar, but Jokic did come away with another triple-double. Oddsmakers believe that Joker will at least match that performance, and trends show he will. Each game in the playoffs where he’s had at least 51.5 points/rebounds/assists, he’s repeated at least once and has done it up to four straight times.

Jimmy Butler OVER 26.5 (-108)

This stat seems to be obvious, but when Jimmy Butler makes baskets, the Heat win.

He was just 6-for-14 in the Game 1 loss, and in the playoffs, Miami is 1-4 when he makes six or fewer field goals. Butler has only made less than six field goals in back-to-back just once in the postseason, so he’ll likely be more involved in Game 2. Miami’s offense was virtually nonexistent outside of the paint, the possible return of Tyler Herro will help, and that would give Butler more breathing room as a scoring option in this game.
