Golden State Warriors @ Miami Heat

The initial challenge of First-Basket betting is picking who will win the first possession. Tonight, that team is Miami. Bam Adebayo is taking the tipoff and has the size to win. Once Adebayo wins, Miami will get the first opportunity to take the night’s first shot. 

The next aspect is picking who will score the first bucket. One player who stands out among all the Heat players is Terry Rozier. He has shot first during the last two games, and the Heat seem to want to get him started early. Bettors can take advantage of his early usage tonight.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ New Orleans Pelicans

Either team could win the first possession, but the Thunder have a slight advantage. Their defense can stop the Pelicans if they win the first possession, which puts the Thunder in a better position to score first tonight. 

Chet Holmgren has taken the first or second shot in both games against the Pelicans. His height and ability to score from multiple levels make him a threat to score at any time. That only helps him when scoring the First Basket of the night.

Milwaukee Bucks @ Los Angeles Lakers

I like the Bucks to win the first possession of this game. They have the size and are capable of stopping the Lakers on defense. The Lakers’ offense is too inconsistent to have betting value in this matchup. 

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the toughest players to stop from scoring. He has the size and athleticism to get to the rim whenever he wants, making him one of the most consistent players at scoring first.
