Cleveland Cavaliers vs. New York Knicks

Phoenix Suns vs. San Antonio Spurs

The Phoenix Suns have won the first possession in only one of their first three games. That gives the advantage to the Spurs in winning the first possession. The Spurs have won the first possession in all three games, mainly because of Wembanyana’s 7’4” height.

I like Keldon Johnson to take the first shot tonight. Johnson can do a little bit of everything, and that includes scoring the basketball. He also has plenty of betting value tonight. That is important when betting on who scores the first basket.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Orlando Magic 

The Clippers have not won a single first possession all season. That means the Magic have the advantage to score first tonight. This has the makings of one of the riskier bets of the night because the Magic have played two of the lesser teams this season. 

I like Paolo Banchero to score the first basket of the night here. He has shot the first basket in two of three games this season which means the Magic have leaned on him first this season. That will continue as the season progresses since he has plenty of talent.
