Washington Wizards vs. Orlando Magic

There are two parts to first-basket betting. The first part is winning the first possession. Tonight, the Orlando Magic have the advantage of winning the first possession. The Magic and Wizards have split the first possession during their games this year. The Magic have been the more consistent team in all aspects. That gives them the advantage.

Paolo Banchero is too good for the Wizards to defend. The Magic will get him involved early and often. That gives him betting value to score the first basket. Banchero has too many skills for the Wizards to stop during this matchup.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves have the advantage of winning the first possession. They have two big men that could win the tipoff. Both Gobert and Towns could win the tipoff. That gives the Timberwolves a better chance of scoring first in tonight’s matchup. 

There are a few players that could score first tonight. I like Anthony Edwards. He has a betting value of +600 and is transforming into an elite player. The Thunder will struggle to slow down Edwards. That is something the Timberwolves will take advantage of early in this matchup.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Sacramento Kings

This game is one of the weird matchups because I like the Kings to make the first basket. Trail Blazers center Deandre Ayton has a better chance of winning the first possession, but the Kings are more consistent on defense and offense. That gives them a better chance to score first tonight.

Kings big man Domantas Sabonis is one of the better big men in the NBA. He can do a little bit of everything. That includes scoring points. Sabonis has a great matchup tonight because Ayton has always been spotty defensively. That means he has a great chance to score the first basket. 

Bet: Domantas Sabonis +425
